I exited the elevator on Level 1, the main level. I left the Emergency Patient Branch of the facility and crossed over a hall into the main block of the hospital. It was where everyone who had an appointment or just visiting came in. It wasn't like the location where Jungkook was placed. Normally, they will have any patient that came in for immediate attention stay in that area of the hospital until they go home. They wouldn't move the patient entirely across the hospital into the Regular Patient Section, which was probably like five acres away just from the entrance of the emergency wing. It was busy in the main center, but that's what you expect when you work in a hospital. I walked toward the back of the main center in order to reach the cafeteria. "Pizza and water. Pizza and water," I repeated. I entered a line to grab a slice. My eyes browsed the room to find Ling waving at me from a table. He was sitting with Tian Makeera and Ka Lian. I waved back with a friendly smile. In no time, I was walking toward my co-workers with three pieces of pizza and two glasses of water upon a tray.
"What's all this? Are you feeding us today? When I mean us, I mean by me," joked Ling. "Look! Pepperoni, Sausage, and Taco?" I laughed at his expression as I sat down to have some chill time.
"No! This is for Jungkook and I. He wanted pizza. So, I came down here to get some while I got a slice of my taco pizza, and he got his pepperoni and sausage," I informed.
"Oh," Ling responded looking disappointed. "Alright, cool."
"Do you like the patient your seeing, (Y/N)?" Makeera asked. I looked over to see her with a smile plastered across your face.
"What?! No."
"Your ears and cheeks tell me differently." I covered my ears with my shirt and looked down at my feet to keep myself hidden. It was so embarrassing. My ears had the tendency to give away when I was lying first. My cheeks would tell whether I was embarrassed or not.
"She is right. You can't hide from us. It is clear as day. It has only been two days, and you already like a patient in the facility. Oo, this is a tough one. Isn't it, Ling?" Lian teased.
Oh, stop teasing me already. This is not what I need. All I am doing is grabbing food for him. It's not like I like him. Do I? Oh, what am I saying? I do like him. I just can't do anything to make it look like I do in front of him. I'll just act friendly though. It's my job to be of assistance, not a partner. I know that relationships with patients can become difficult and fatal if gone too far.
"(Y/N), stop hiding," Lian repeated. He began to tug my shirt down while Makeera tried lifting my head up. "You're fine. We are messing around with you." I slowly lift my head up and let go of my shirt.
"I know, but it's embarrassing. I don't appreciate it," I replied biting my lip. My eyes shoot forward to see Ling a bit upset. It looked like he was a little pissed off at the situation. I noticed his right hand was gripped tightly around the fork for his salad. I watched him slowly start to crush the utensil causing it to bend.
"Bro, you good?" Lian questioned observing Ling. They all looked at me. Then Makeera stared back at Ling.
"What? What's the matter? Is there something wrong with (Y/N) possibly liking this dude? What's his name? Ah, nevermind. She has the right to like someone. You have you Ms. Seung, Seung Jara," reminded Makeera.
"Shut up," blurted Ling. I was shocked by his response. Something was wrong. Ling rarely ever got upset, even more mad. It wasn't like him.
"What? It's true. It shouldn't matter if she may like a guy for once," agreed Lian."I said... SHUT UP!" His fist pounded against the tabletop. All our eyes widened. Mine flinched by his sudden harsh-like move. The bounce of the table made his drink spillover spreading across the table like a river.
