Six
-------------

I open my eyes to feel an ache in my left arm. I groan, my eyes finally adjusting to the area I am in. Speaking of which... Where am I? I quickly sit up, finally coming to my senses, my body aching. I am in a small, secluded area with curtains covering the outside. I am laying on a somewhat soft, cushioned blanket. I peer my eyes with suspicion, slowly getting up. I remember the leeches now, and how they had attacked me. Its honestly a suprise that im not dead- shit. I owe Seven again.

I sigh, wondering where he was. I stand up straight, noticing the curtain open to reveal a scrawny girl with ashy brown hair, pale skin, and a ripped dress. I quickly walk over to the girl, grabbing her shoulders and pinning her to where she cant get away. "Who are you?" I say, eyeing her with suspicion. The girl has widened eyes, clearly shocked. "Six, you're awake! Im Amaryllis..... You can let go of me." Amaryllis says, her voice level with a tint of worry. "So you know my name... Where's Seven?" I say, loosening my grip on Amaryllis's shoulders due too the pain in my arm. "Relax, he's the one who brought you here. He's with the others." Amaryllis says, as I fully lower my arms away from her shoulders. "Okay.. I somewhat beleive you. Sorry... About that." I say, gripping at the bandages on my left arm. "Its fine.. You should probrably take it easy, though. If you want, I can take you to Seven if you're up for it." Amaryllis says, giving me a friendly grin. "Sure.. Thanks." I say, reluctantly. Amaryllis opens the curtain to reveal a wide open secluded space with a small fire lighting the place up. Near the fire, is five people. Once I spot Seven's voice from the others, I let my body relax with releif. I notice the group turn to look at me, clearly interested at my appearance. I notice Seven turn around to get up, quickly walking over to me. "Six! Thank god. Dont worry me like that... How are you holding up?" He ask's, glancing at me. I glance over at everyone a bit umcomfortably. "Yeah, im fine. Sorry I worried you." I say, giving him a small smile I make sure no one else sees. Seven lets me sit by him by the fire; The whole group has their eyes on me now.

"Anyways, Six. These are the people that saved you." Seven says, breaking the silence. For the next ten minutes, Seven introduces me to everyone in the group. First I meet Five, a short boy with a dark green shaw and blue eyes. He looks about maybe thirteen, the youngest out of the group. Next, there's Three, a pretty shy one. He never show's his face, and is always bundled up in what looks to be at least three shaws. He always has his hood on.

The next person I meet is Two, a blonde girl with a light green shaw and blue eyes. She's kind of the leader of the place, and is somewhat freindly with a sassy and bold attitude. She looks to be about Seven's age; Seventeen. The last of the group is One, since ive already met Amaryllis. One is a skinny boy with an orange hood and hazel eyes. He's pretty level headed, and seems to be quick minded. He seems to be at least Seventeen. Once I've gotton to meet the group, everyone settles down with a small chat I do not really want to engage in. "So, we heard you killed the janitor?" One chimes in, making everyone glance over towards me. "Yeah, but I didn't do it alone." I say, replying to his statement. I can only assume that Seven told them. I slightly frown. "Hm.. Thats great news! Considering that we have been wondering why he's been so quiet lately." Two says, glancing around at everyone. "So, did you two just... Team up?" Five asks, glancing over towards Seven. "I mean... Yeah, you could say that." Seven says glancing towards me. I look away when Seven looks at me, because I dont understand the sudden feeling that jolts in my stomach like a knot. I notice Amaryllis step over towards everyone. "Hey guys, dont you think it's about time to sleep? Six needs her rest and im sure we've all had a pretty long day." Amaryllis says, glancing over at everyone. "Yeah, you're right.. it has been a long day.. Could someone show Seven and Six where to sleep please?" Two ask's, standing up to cross her arms. "I can do that." Amaryllis offers, nodding to Two. I notice that Amaryllis seems to be the helpful type. I acknowledge this as she leads us to our sleeping place. I notice that the beds are split up in sections. Each section contains two beds, and are separated from the rest with a blanket. Seven and I have our own section. "We figured you both would want to be in the same section because you know each other better." Amaryllis says before walking out. Is she hinting something?.. I frown, sighing as I sit down on my "blanket bed." "I glance over at Seven, who is staring at me. I feel slightly akward, but brush it off. "You okay?" Seven asks, sitting down on his blanket. "Yes, I told you im fine." I say. "You sure didn't look fine... No offense." Seven says, his tone a bit too serious for my liking.

I want to laugh this moment away... It is pretty akward, and its giving me that knotty feeling again. "Seven, no need to get so worked up." I say, frowning at him. "Im not, its just you almost died... Again." He says, his voice brisk. "Just- take it easy, okay? Im glad you're alright." I glance at him, and sigh. "Seven, I can take care of myself... But thanks for saving me- again. I appreciate it. Now go to sleep, weirdo." I say, giving him a small grin. "Okay, okay. Sorry for "acting like a weirdo". Goodnight." Seven says, giving me a dorky grin that showed he was back to his usual self. I smile to myself, turning to lay down. I close my eyes, soon drifting off to sleep.

I open my eyes to feel hands shaking me. I sit up to see Seven with a peice of meat. "Oh, hi... What's that?" I ask, noticing the meat being surprisingly cooked. "That better not have come from the kitchen..." I say. "Dont worry, its not. Turns out they have traps they have to catch rats. Five said that they clean them and then cook them over the fire.. I brought us this to share so you wouldn't get another weird hunger spasm." Seven replied, handing me a chunk of rat meat to eat. "Oh, thanks." I say deciding that it was good. I take a bite, and notice that its not that bad if you avoid the strange after taste. Once we both are finished, I streach my sore limbs, making sure to be careful with my injured one. "Two said Amaryllis needed you so she could change your bandages." Seven replied when he was finished, glancing up at me. "Oh, okay. I'll be going now." I say, getting to my feet. "See you later, Seven." I say, giving him a freindly grin before leaving. I step out of our "sleeping section", looking around. One and Two are near the fire pit; which was now ash since the fire had died down since the night before. The others were probrably asleep...

I walk over towards the small corner where I met Amaryllis, and open the curtain. Inside, Amaryllis turns around, and nods. "Seven said you needed me. By the looks of things, your the healer of the group?" I say, sitting down on the makeshift bed. "Oh, good your here. Also, I guess you could say that." Amaryllis replies, grabbing her bandages. "So, when I was bit.. Did I bleed a lot, or what?" I ask, wondering how she managed to stop the bleeding. "Yeah, there was alot.. But I managed to stop the bleeding. If I dont mind asking... How did you survie those leeches? I thought that one bite should kill." Amaryllis says. I frown for a moment, thinking of a way to answer this question. "I.. Dont know." I shrug. "You dont know how you survived a swarm of leeches. Really?" Amaryllis says, her voice dissapointed. "Yep... Sorry." I say. "Well... Anways, could you please take off your raincoat so I can get your bandages?" Amaryllis says, looking towards me. "Wait- take off my raincoat?" I ask, my voice sounding caught off guard. "Yes... Is there a problem? While you were out I had to take it off to put on your bandages.. You do know that, right?" Amaryllis asks, giving me a strange look. "Oh.. So you saw my face." I say, my voice cautios with a frustration I cant understand. "Yeah... Why? Do you not like people seeing your face?" Amaryllis asks, glancing at me with a questionable look. "Yes." I say, frowning. "Oh, well in that case.. If I would of known, then I wouldn't of looked at your face... " Amaryllis says, her voice hinting a bit of guilt. "Dont worry, it's fine. Its not like you can unsee it. You'll just be one of the few people that see my face. Just think of it this way- your special." I say, shrugging. Deep down, I am furious. "Oh, okay.." Amaryllis replies with a solemn response, grabbing my bandages as I take off my raincoat. Under my raincoat, is a black tank top, and white shorts. I can finally examine my bandages, and the one word to describe them is: bloody. I watch Amaryllis remove all three bandages; one on my left arm, right leg, and neck. The bites are just as horrid as I thought the'd look. And ugly. I watch Amaryllis wrap the last of my wounds with new bandage, I put on my raincoat, putting my hood over my head to cover my face. Once im done, I thank Amaryllis and leave the small space that I nicknamed the 'healer's hole'.
