Max ´s POV

i heard the alarm clock ring, or more like i could feel it telling me it was time to wake up. it never failed. like everyone else i that could actually ignore the ringing. i could not, no i would awake by default because to me it actually spoke directly into my head. waking me. i wasn´t even tired anymore even though the bed did look at me invitingly. being all warm and fluffy, regrettably i got up and took a shower. because crime-fighting in the night could leave you smelly sometimes. didn't want the guys at school smelling hero identities on me. that would be really bad. after getting out i brushed my hair back putting on the bald-cap that would make my blond wig sit better on. making sure non of my extremely red hair would peak out from under it. that to would be really bad. then i brushed and fixated the wig into a geeky emo style hiding my eyes slightly. when i was done whit this it was time for my sent to be covered whit a different aftershave then i used at night. there where people out there that had animistic senses. they would know if it was the same. i couldn't allow that. next the clothes. some slightly baggy yet fitted jeans hold up whit a belt whit some cartoon character's on it. on top a t-shirt whit some smart ass picture and comment that just in the loop people would get. and to complete the outfit a plaid open shirt, and a pair of black square glasses whit no strength in the glass. yeah this would good. i looked geeky and yet not really ugly. you know the cute emo geek look. it fit me and also it kept the suspicions away from me.

i got back  to my room from the bathroom. putting my homework in the backpack together whit my computer. i went downstairs where my mother was already making breakfast for the entire family. toasts and juice was on the menu today. i looked at my mother looking the perfect picture of a housewife. whit her hair up in a bun, a nice proper skirt and lightly colored cardigan she smiled widely humming to her self. no one would guess this tiny "fragile" women actually could be the worlds strongest person. i once saw her lift an entire truck whit one hand trowing it at a villein because he had insulted her size. she had a really bad temper, but she tried her best to kept it hidden as her housewife persona. she was actually very dominant. her and fathers marriage was more of a partnership then built on gender roles. those they kept strictly official when others where watching. she put the plate down in front of me and my father who was reading his newspaper, making jokes about what he read. the person he showed on the outside to our neighbours and friends was really lame, he was always cracking embarrassing lame jokes and comments intentionaly. but as a hero he was a perfectionist and really sophisticated. yes he seemed the perfect dorky doormat to the outsiders. but as a hero he was the smarted person i know. he could read anything and have every punctuation down in the script he just read and repeat it. he knew computers almost as good as me. and i was a computer wiz that actually could talk to all electronics whit out any problem. he just knew the codes and functions by reading and study. also he knew the encyclopedias by every word. how governments worked in details. the book of law in every paragraph. like i said my dad was extremely smart. then we had my to sisters. my big sister a senior at collage whit the power of persuasion and seduction. she was a real pain. if she wanted something she would get it no questions asked. we sometimes worry that she might go over to the dark side. but so far she was all for the hero stuffs. using her powers for good. and also to mess whit me her little brother. we had become more immune to her by the years but it was still hard to say no to her. then lastly we had my little sister who just sat down at the table wiggling her legs and waited for mom to give her her toasts. we didn't really know for sure what her power was. but she never seemed to get sick ore hurt. so we believe she might have some kind of inviolability ore something. she was really cute tough, and hyper, if it wasn´t for my secret identity she and i would probably be making this town very crazy whit all our energy and chatting. as it was now this only happened behind closed doors in our suits or secret hideouts. it was like my family had its own secret club. awesome really. to outsiders we looked like a perfect little family of moderate wealth. working dad, stay at home mom, three kids, two cars picket fence and a dog. but yeah in reality we where a team of superheros. we knew of a few others like us. but rarely meeting them sens we where´t in the same city. ore knew their secret identities. meeting anyone like us living in the same city was really rare actually. so the fact i meet shade was really interesting. usually we only meet others like us to team up for special big job occasions. when i started thinking about last night and Shade, my thought immediately fell to the kiss he had given me. i could feel the lingering feeling of his lips on mine, it was really weird. i mean it had happened last night , i should be over it. but  i kept wondering why he had kissed me and if he had enjoyed it. was he gay was that why? or was it to shut me up? a joke to startle me? i had no idea. but i knew i was disturbingly pleased whit that kiss. and i was´t sure as to why. would he kiss me again i wondered as i took a bite of my toast looking at my parents. i guess i should tell them that Shade was in town.
