welcome to the family. we look forward to seeing how you help to make Ark Medical Hospital with both your confidence and determination", she couldn't believe the words she was speaking. She was in utter disbelief.
On the other end of the phone, Wells let out a short airy laugh, which quickly turned into full blow laughter.
"There wasn't anything funny?", she furrowed her eyebrows, followed by a small pout.
"Oh god Clarke", he began after regathering himself, "remember how nervous and worried you had been?"
"Yeh"
"And remember how I said that you didn't have to worry?", he snorted.
Clarke knee where he was going with this. She had began yelling, saying how she wouldn't get the position. Now all Wells wanted was to rub it in her face, that he was indeed right.
"I'm not admitting you were right", she huffed.
"You will one day, cause you know it's true. Now you, need some rest, you have had enough excitement for one day", Wells nodded his head forward, looking embarrassed as he remembered that she couldn't see him.
"Alright dad". They both laughed in unison, before saying goodbye and hanging up.
