Mercenary entered the manor after a pretty good win. It was a clean victory even though he limped while buying them time with Geisha. He was limping since his last match with Ripper yesterday. No one knew what happened between them since everyone were on their flight to the manor while Naib tried to reach the dungeon.

When he was on his way to his very own big cold  excuse of a homely room he almost fell on Fiona.

"Careful there! You should pay Emily a visit Naib. It's not getting any better." Young priestess moved to help Naib to his room but Mercenary pushed her away politely.
"They will get better eventually. I don't need help Sister." He murmured before getting to his room.

He took off his green hood and kicked his combat boots away. His back was killing him.

He brushed the bandage on his back with his hand. The wounds were pretty deep and couldn't
heal like that. He really needed some treatment rather than sloppy cleaning and cheap bandages. As a mercenary who dealt with wounds and saw people bleeding out countless times he knew that pretty well. When he first came back from "That Match With The Ripper" Emily rushed to heal him only to be stopped. Naib told her he didn't want to get them treated along a shitton of crap about honor.

Truth be told; he had the very idea of who had killed beared no honour. He already lost it long ago.

Naib thought he needed a scar to stay human. This manor really made him think about how continious life here was. How they were on a dark tunnel which its end wasn't appearant. How worthless his life was. After fighting for a long time and coming to this manor he saw no purpose in life.

He lay down on his bed ignoring the pain. Wounds needed a good cleaning. But he was lazy to do so. Dying or slight pain wouldn't matter to him. It was not like he could get out of the manor alive. Never ending loop of a game which was really similar to battlefield but way more easier. No deaths no widows and orphans left behind... Heaven for killers who loved their job but afraid of consequences. Killers who had no family but only one unbearing mother, battle.

Naib fell asleep  thinking about his unremarkable snug death. It was not longer than five hours until already uncomfortable bed became a sweaty cocoon of nightmares for him.

He got up whimpering because of pain. After sitting without doing anything with his dear alley "agony"  by his side Naib decided to get some fresh air. He glanced at clock. It said two in the morning. What a great time of the day...

Naib put on his combat boots and hood making his way slowly limping into Red Church's barely standing seats.

Cold wood licked by the night felt heavenly good against sickly warm infected wounds behind him. He closed his eyes snuggly.

"Good evening. Fancy seeing you at this time this place" When he opened his eyes he saw Jack standing there.

"Why are you here? It's almost morning Jack."

Without invitation Jack planted himself next to Naib. What a gentleman, he thought.

"I was going to ask you the same politely. But as you asked first... I like night. I mostly cannot fall in dreamworld easily and I go out at those beautiful hours of the day." Jack explained.

"Creepy... you could've said you have sleeping problems." Naib spoke his gaze locked into a red cross.

"So are you going to answer me or let me guess?"

"I dont have to have this conversation with you." Naib murmured. The response sounded even colder for usual "Cold Murder Prince Naib" to Jack.

Naib and Jack had something he would rather name friendship.

"Maybe you are the one who's got sleeping problems? We can change the topic but you know... I'm worried." Jack looked at him his eyes desperately looking for mercenary's gaze. Their eyes met. Smaller man's lead grey cold glares and Ripper's pitch black ones.

"About what?" Naib spoke coldly

"Your limp... refusal to get treated. And you're here at this time. I am worried about you!" Jack raised his voice.

"You? You- you're worried? About me? " Naib chuckled humourlessly first then he laughed so hard that he felt his lungs get stabbed by his ribs

Jack realised he wasn't making sense. But he couldn't tell himself to not to. He regret his words immediately. This wasnt the way to reach him.

"I can't deny it Naib. Don't laugh I... I speak no lies" He stuttered. Jack was blushing like a highschool girl opening to her crush.

Naib couldnt hold himself from looking at that grown man. Stuttering and blushing in front of him. He find hard to belive monster in the field and this guy with the adorable black eyes was the same guy. His cold glares warmed up a little with Jack's behaviour. Naib immediately knew he wasn't faking

"Promise me to get them treated till tomorrow. I want that match to be fair." Jack pulled himself together. "Let me walk you to manor."

Even Naib wanted to refuse, he knew Jack and his ways would cross at some point. Along the walk No one said anything. Except for Jack who couldnt resist to help Naib walk. Naib was alerted because they were too close but didn't show it because Jack's embrace was pretty comfortable and snuggly. When they part, Jack wanted to give him a goodbye hug but Naib brushed him away quickly. He knew it would hurt.

While Naib was trying to sneak into his room without being discovered, Jack was taking the long route to the Oletus Underground unconsciously
