Ripper smiled too sincerely while squeezing Mercenary's hand. Sincere enough to melt Naib's heart, which made him crack a weak smile too. Young man realized what he was doing and took his cold normal face again.

Jack should not be allowed to smile in this manor, It's the exact opposite of what a hunter must be. It's most likely to lure people for his advantage... or way worse.

"I really should get going now. Heh... See you later?" Naib got on foot and shook off the imaginary dust on his tighs.

"Ah... you're leaving already? Let me walk you to the secret passage in garden then."

"There is a secret passage in garden?"

Jack chuckled then held Naib's hand. "There is a lot you dont know. How do you think we counter all of you?"

"Okay, that makes me nervous now."

"What doesn't make you nervous about me again? Name five things and I will sell my soul to devil." Jack tried to make it more fun to talk to him with every line.

"Pff you're acting as if you're not the one who beats us to death twice a week" Naib laughed at the Irony.
"Name five things that isn't creepy about you. Then we talk."

Jack smiled, "It's going to be really easy. You sure?" Jack's sincere expression turned into a smug smile which Naib found hilarious. Even by serial killer standards.

Naib shrugged, "We don't have time for it though." He was determined to not to get in trouble for "hanging out" with Ripper.

Jack stood up and put his hand on Naib's shoulder tenderly. Suddenly his expression was dark with misery as if he was a whole different person. "Let's meet again. This place is already too messed up to put up with alone. Im sure you can use some company from other side too. "

"Sure, as long as no lines are crossed." Naib accepted it carelessly shrugging as he had not much to lose. He was already trying to kill himself before that.

Naib piercingly looked at Jack as he wanted to know everything; the secret reason of why he treated him, why he acted so kind and why was he claiming to love him. This definition of "everything" was what seperated them. Naib looked at Jack in a suspicion and a seek of an excuse for him to treat him this way except for kindness. Naib secretly wanted Jack to turn out to be a traitor so he could be right. Nothing would be too complicated if it happened so. This action was well expected and Naib wouldn't deny it.

His heart surrounded by a thin layer of ice had him unable to see mercy as a action of pure kindness and love. Meanwhile Jack only looked for a solution to work his way through this layer of ice. He wasn't a woman he could court nor a person who would easily accept and handle his feelings.

He sighed in exhaustion while holding the door for Naib. He didn't know why he felt so desperate. It was a victory after all... The first charming night they were that close. First night in this manor both slept so snug and soundly... Little did we know Jack had more in the box. More than love.

Hastur stepped right in front of the closet filled with books waiting for Eli to come out. He crossed his arms while Fiona yawned "It's bad for your spine darling. Tight spaces arent the best."

Eli hesitantly stepped out while his owl calmly flew on top of the closet and carelessly scratched his wing with his beak. The owl was too relaxed for the situation they were in. He hesitated to speak and clung into the ancient book, he didn't snuck up on here risking his life for nothing.

He pulled himself together "Well... I can trustfully state that I have not forseen this..." Eli stuttered.

Both Priestess and Feaster were holding their laughters.

"Because I did not want you to." Hastur gave a hand to the confused seer.

The Feaster out of matches was a whole new creature. He had a normal human body slightly taller than usual with long black hair. There were still signs from being one of the Spawns of Yog-sototh too; for example, ghost tentacles which randomly appeared when he was doing something or the pomegranate red, purple skin tone... Most importantly vermillion eyes the size of a literal kitten's head.

"I wanted to have you aware of our plans directly. Nothing can be trusted in this soulless place. Also, I reccomend you to let that book go. It's just a cookbook I spelled." Hastur chuckled while the ancient book turned into a hard covered modern cookbook.

Eli blushed in embarrassment. He felt like everything was turned against him and he was the dummy in the room. Well in fact, he was the dummy in the room."Then what was the entering quotes? Those words are legit centuries old!"

"That's why I chose them. Only words that will bait you. I'm older than you can even think of, child."

Fiona held herself to not to snort. "You're thinking of this prophecy too much. In Yog-Sototh's holy book it says that prophecies are not valid unless there is revelations about them." she carelessly shrugged.

Thats why I never trust cults of other minor gods. They always have stupid excuses about not trusting their prophets. Thats why their myths never lasted long.they always find new ways to ignore the truth.

Eli was still confused, "Why you had to bait me? What could make baiting someone a better option than straight up telling. Or just leaving a note." not only confused, now he was flushed with anger. Fiona never thought she would've seen cold-blooded and kind seer this uncomfortable. And lowkey adorable.

Hastur tap on the armchair with his ghost tentacle."Sit down and listen. We need your help."

"I hate you, and youu and youu~" Vera threw forks she used to crush flowers with at her bedroom wall, imagining the wallpaper as the hunters. She and Margaretha had no matches this noon and decided to "get wasted". They were doing this once a month talking about their previous lives and gossiping while emptying the weekly freshed liquor cabinet. It was usually really fun to have someone who can laugh at the most stupid things with you when you were drunk. It felt way more relaxing to have someone who understands you and is there for you than being alone.

Perfumer kept singing about how dumb smiley face is while the Dancer locked her eyes blankly at ceiling. "He used to be my husband ya know."

"PFFFFFFFF- COME ON MARGEEE" Vera loudly cackled. "We've been through this before. Even that rat with tie is probably better than him in be-" she was stopped by a pillow crashing on her face.

"You slept with both of them. Right? you slut?? Oh you probably slept with every hunter and survivor in the manor and already have a tier list for em." Margaretha got up and put her hands on her hip with a challanging look.

Vera threw the pillow back at Margaretha, very harshly. Which made Dancer scream and jump on bed to doge it. "Oh yeah I slept with everyone, except you because I forgot to bring money to this haunted place for prostitutes like you-" before they both started scream laughing Vera tackled Margaretha. "But I guess I no longer need money because you wouldn't demand it from your best friend would you?"

"Go find other peacocks to deflower your rose garden Ms.Sniff Sniff-"

"I'll show you who's Ms. Sniff Sniff-"

They rolled off of bed crashing on floor still laughing like hyenas.

Naib who was just snuck in to survivor's side quietly opened the door to check on them. He was only a little curious about crashing and screaming sounds.

When he saw Vera without her corset and hat, while her hair was a mess (just like Margaretha who was in her bra) he blushed in embarrassment. "DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO KNOCK?" Perfumer threw the emptied wine bottle with dead accurate aim almost like the coordinator at Naib who slammed the door shut just in time.

Margaretha who was under the perfumer's arms giggled and waved. "Bye Naiib!"
