I knew that something was wrong with Lissa but all that mattered was him. Dimitri. I'd always hated 'they come first'. Tonight especially so. I banged on Dimitri's door.
"Open up Dimitri!" He opened up within seconds and I liked what I saw. A bare chested, ridiculously hot Russian battle god.
"Rose, what's wrong?" He was wary but totally vulnerable to me. I could tell the dress, my loose hair and body had him entranced.
"Something with Liss, but I can't remember what." His body, scent and being was distracting. I wanted, needed, him. I could see the feeling reflected in his eyes.
"Rose" his voice turned husky.
"Comrade" my breathing hitched. He shut the door- and locked it.
"Rose" he gripped my hand and sparks flew. With just one touch he completed me. His hands started to slowly trail up my arms. He lifted my chin with his finger, leaned in and kissed me. My hands entangled themselves in his hair and I returned the kiss with all my might, with ally heart. Our hands explored each other's bodies.
"What are we doing?" He breathed.
"Everything." At that his lips returned to mine and his hands slowly made their way to the hem of my dress and he had it off seconds later. "I thought you liked that dress comrade?"
"Mmm. I like you better Roza." He picked me up and took me too the bed.
Slowly and gently each remaining piece of clothing was removed from my body. He was still in his boxers but each moment more I spent with him was another moment my nerves and self consciousness disappeared. He didn't judge me, he understood me. I was his equal. I loved him and god was that a scary thought. I loved him and that was all that mattered. The second I uttered those three words was the second we reached the point of no return.
"I love you Dimitri. So much." Up until then I'd convinced myself it was just a crush but I knew then it wasn't. I loved him with all my being and I knew it was time. I was ready to give myself to him.
"I love you too Roza. So much, so much it hurts." I knew that feeling.
"It's time." I was certain. I was ready.
"You certain?"
"Yes" my voice was steady and confident. I had no more nerves. This was Dimitri, my other half. That was all it took. The barriers came down and I gave myself over to him and he to me.
"Roza" he sighed. "What just happened? Where did our control go?" His hands were tracing my body.
"Out the window comrade, our control went out the window. As for what just happened, I think we both know." I smiled.
"I love you Roza."
"I love you too."
"Roza?"
"Yeah."
"I just noticed. Your necklace is still on."
"How did I not feel that?" I reached up and unclasped it. Gasping as I dropped it on his bedside table. Milliseconds later Liss had pulled me into her head and I screamed as I felt her pain. It was as if her head was about to explode. I stayed in to figure out what was going on. Moments later I had my answer.
"Heal me!" Victor bloody Dashkov demanded of Lissa. Shit! He was the bad guy? Liss reached out her hand and sent the magic through to him, returning him to her childhood vision of his looks. I had just enough time to scan her thoughts to get her location before she passed out.
"Roza?!"
"Lissa. Dashkov has her!" I told him and we sprang into action.
