Chapter 5

Serena's POV

Calem....

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Now that's no way to treat your guest." He smiled. "I just wanted to know if you wanted to do something together." 

"No." I replied coldly. "Can't you just leave me alone for once?" I shouted.

"I just want to be together." He said, he sounded a bit frightening. 

"Just go home." I said closing the door on him.

"No Serena, just wait, I still like you and I'm not giving you up." He said. "This isn't about that Ash is it?"

"This doesn't have anything to do with Ash, just give it up Calem." I told him.

"Please give me another chance I beg you." He cried.

"NO, and that's that." He then touched my shoulder. I started screaming. Just then somebody came and knocked Calem unconscious with one strike. I turned to see who it was. I froze when I saw who it was.

Ash...

Ash's POV

I was on my way back home when I realized I left my backpack. Oh crap. I started running back towards Serena's house when I heard a scream. I quickly rushed up and hit the guy in one of the sensitive nerve spot on the neck. He quickly passed out, it was this Camel dude again.

"Are you ok?" I asked Serena.

"Yeah, thanks for saving me I guess." 

"It was a good thing I came back to get my bag huh?" I smiled.

She started turning a bit red and I couldn't tell why. 

A/N Ash is still as freaking dense as in the anime.

"Well I got to get going, mom's waiting for me." I said happily.

She looked kind of cute all defenseless and still a little bit shaken.

"Bye." I said again leaving her once again.

Serena's POV again...

I saw it was Ash that saved me. I knew that at this moment, I started liking Ash Ketchum. The raven-haired boy had saved me. I mean come on, he had everything. He was cute with a cute smile, he saved me, so it was like the man of my dreams.

We talked a little bit more and I was blushing a little. After he left, I called Mallow and told her what happened.

"I told you, you're so into him." She laughed on the phone. "I mean I guess he's cute and all, but he actually saved you." 

"I know," I said still kind of blushing. "You better not tell anyone else though."

"And what if I don't."  She said with a wicked voice. 

"Then I will freakin kill you." I yelled.

"Ok ok ok, relax Serenie, I won't tell anyone, except Dawn." 

"No don't you dare tell her!" I yelled, but she all ready hung up. I sighed, Dawn was the matchmaker of the school and would ship anything that comes her way. She would try anything to make the ship work, so I really hoped Mallow didn't really mean it.

I thought back to Calem coming at the door. I started to remember back when...

Flash Back

2 years ago

"Serena, I wanted to tell you in person, but I have had a crush on you for a little while." Calem said. "I want us to be more than friends, do you see me as more than a friend?" 

I paused a bit not knowing what to say. "I'm sorry Calem, I think you're a really nice guy and you will get a really nice girl someday, but I'm just not the one." 

I saw his face drop, he looked depressed. "That's ok Serena, but I'll keep waiting for you if you change your mind." He said as he left with tears in his eyes.

I felt horrible, Calem was one of my best friend's who was a boy. At times I might have liked him, but not as a boyfriend. That day, I saw hurt in Calem's eyes, from that day on he told everyone he was going to be the greatest Pokemon trainer that ever existed. 

End of Flashback.

Until Ash came at least...

I've kind of been on a writing streak because I didn't want all of my ideas of the story to be forgotten, anyways I gave you all 4 chapters this week because I might not be able to update next week because I have a huge Science final because my teacher thought it would be great to have a mid-year final after having 1 whole week of school off from snow days. Will Serena be the one to take Ash's heart or will it be other's I'm deciding between May, Misty, and Lana who should run up against Serena. Let me know and I'll update as soon as I can.
