Chapter 29 - Scar

As I look around the room that was once my safe haven I sigh, I never thought I would be back here and certainly not voluntarily. But I have to do this to protect Knuckles and his club, so I will stay.

I smooth down the pink dress Alec provided, if he knew me he would know my distain for pink, and slip on the sparkly silver heels, the bruising on my face hidden under make up and my hair styled perfectly. There's a knock on the door and I turn as Alec enters the room

"Are you ready Kiska?" He asks, his eyes travelling up and down my body. I nod and walk towards him, he wraps his arm around my waist and guides me to the elevator

"Tonight we celebrate your return home." He smiles as the doors close and we begin our descent. My home is in North Carolina with Knuckles, but as I'll never see him again, I need to work on letting him go, eventually.

We step out of the elevator and Alec helps me into the passenger seat of his Lamborghini before he gets in the drivers seat and we head out to the restaurant.

"Tomorrow my stylists will come and fix your hair, nails and skin and we will get you a new wardrobe. I like the rough leather look you had but now you are on my arm you need to dress appropriately." Alec says as we drive through downtown Manhattan.

"Ok." Is all I say in response, I just need to be a good girl and hope he soon forgets Knuckles, give it a few months of me playing house with Alec and maybe I can come up with a plan to either escape or end Alec. We arrive at the restaurant and I remember it's the same one he took me to that night, the night of my 17th birthday. Alec climbs out of the car and comes around to help me out before giving the keys to the valet. His arm is once again around my waist as we head inside, several people greeting him as we enter. The maitre d' guides us to Alec's table and pulls my chair out for me. Alec orders some fancy wine as I hide behind my menu praying for a meteor to crash through the building and land on his head, it could totally happen, maybe.

The meal goes by with Alec doing all the talking, I just nod and smile, still waiting on that meteor. Eventually it ends and we head out to his car, but when I think I can go back and hide out in my room I realise where he's taking me. One of his men meets us out front and takes the car as Alec leads me inside the strip club my sister once worked in.

The typical strip club sound tracks booms from the speakers as Alec guides me to the VIP area and I sit on the velour couch. A girl in nothing but a thong brings over champagne and Alec pours me a glass, when his back is turned I quickly dispose of the liquid, no way am I drinking around him, I need to be completely sober.

"I need to use the ladies room." I shout over the music and stand up, just as I go to exit the VIP area one of Alec's men stops me

"Watch her." Alec says and the big asshole follows me all the way to the damn toilet, checks the stall and then stands in the doorway. I slam the door in his face and sit down to pee. So I can't even pee alone, still, it's only one guy, I could easily take him down, but not yet, one day.

I finish and open the door to find the man still standing there, I push passed him and wash my hands before checking my make up in the mirror

"I'm sure you've heard what I've done to the many men of Alec's I've killed, might want to be careful." I smirk as I pat asshole on the shoulder and laugh as his face pales. I may not be able to do anything to piss Alec off, but there's got to be some fun to have.

The night went on with whores pouring themselves over Alec as he kept trying to push drinks at me, I wouldn't be surprised if there was more than alcohol in some of them, but that's not gonna work on me. Finally at 2am we arrive back at Alec's apartment and I head straight for my room

"Now Kiska, I spoil you tonight and I do not even get a good night?" Alec asks as he stops me from closing my bedroom door, I sigh

"I'm sorry Alec I'm just tired, all the excitement." I smile as I close the gap between us and place my hand on his shoulder

"Thank you for a lovely evening." I finish before kissing him on the cheek. I can tell he wants more but maybe he listened to me this morning and is giving me time. I close my bedroom door and turn the lock, although I'm sure he has a key.

I don't know what happened to my things, whether they left them behind, or if Alec has them, but they aren't here. I go through to the closet and find silk nightgowns, they will have to do. I quickly change and then walk through into the bathroom. As I wash off my make up the bruising shows from when I fought his men this morning.

I sigh and climb into bed, I know I won't sleep knowing Alec is even in the same building, never mind in the room next to mine. I don't know if I could handle waking up to him here again.

As I lie back I think of Knuckles, I was finally able to lie beside him and I loved it, the warmth of him against me as I fell asleep. The safety of his arms wrapped around me, it felt so great and I only just got to feel that and now it's gone.

I just need to keep this going, keep Alec happy and be his good little girlfriend for a while and then I need to come up with a plan, before Alec expects me to sleep with him or worse, makes me.
