Hunter entered Reed territory as Gabriella left.

Xavier, his wolf felt a part of them going away but couldn't pinpoint the feeling.

The feeling was just unnerving. Since he entered this territory all he could feel was his wolf getting restless every other hour.

Xavier on the other hand felt her. His mate, she was here. In this very land.

But her scent was faint, really faint.

Has she left?

Xavier kept quite, not wanting to get Hunter's hopes up.

They moved towards the alpha's house.

Gabriel came down the stairs and went to Raphael's office. His sons were all there and soon his wife entered too.

"Where is my little girl?" Gabriel couldn't help but ask as the scent of his only baby girl was getting a bit weaker around the house.

"Oh. She went to Crescent moon, said she was missing Nate and Cameron. I called Oliver to inform everyone that Gabriella is coming."

Gabriel's brows furrowed.

"Why so suddenly?"

"She said that she missed them, but she did look a bit fidgety."

Raphael interrupted their parents, "Has someone said something to her again?"

The three brothers were concerned about their sister whenever she was alone. She is their lifeline. They have got into enough brawls when they have seen people call her 'freak' and such other words.

"She didn't say anything when I asked her."

They all slowly nodded at Nitara.

The knock on the door took all their attentions from Nitara and to the door.

Beta Evans entered the room after Gabriel told him to enter.

"Alpha Knight has arrived. Should I guide him to the office?"

"Yeah, show him to the office."

They all waited patiently for alpha to arrive. Then the door open and in came two gentlemen. They both were sturdy looking.

"Alpha Knight welcome to Reed pack."

Raphael stood up to welcome them.

"Alpha Reed, it's nice to meet you. But please call me Hunter as I am not the alpha, yet."

"You are wrong Alpha Hunter, you were born an alpha. Even if someone has taken the title from you for a temporary period that title belongs to you." Gabriel interrupted the two.

Hunter gave them a tight lipped smile.

"This is my uncle and beta Kit Knight."

After all the introductions Raphael guided them towards the seat.

"What can we help you with?"

"Your pack is the nearest to our pack. We want lodging for a while so that we can start planning."

"You know Hunter you have our allegiance with you. You can stay in out territory as long as you want and you know that we will stand with you when you decide to take over your pack."

With that first genuine smile appeared at Hunter's face. It was relieving to know that there was still good in this world, that people are still willing to help others without wanting anything in return.

He then continued to speak, "also I will be teaching English literature at Georgia High here."

"Oh that is good. My daughter is still in school. You would have met her today but she has gone to my mate's former pack to meet her cousins."

Hunter was amused as he looked at the gleam in former alpha's eyes. He couldn't fathom how special his daughter would be to entice such gleam in her father's eyes.

"It's alright. He will meet her some other time, Gabriel."

"Yeah dad, make it more obvious that she is the only one who is your pride and joy." Elijah teased her father.

"You all are equal to me."

"Really?" All three brothers drawled at the same time.

Gabriel just grumbled something and left the room. He didn't like the fact that his little girl was not in the pack right now.

"We are sorry for the way Gabriel is behaving, it's just it doesn't sits well with him when our daughter is away from him."

"It's alright."

"Elijah would show you both to your rooms in the pack house and give you the tour of rest of the house. Feel free to find me if you need something else." Raphael shook his hands once more.

And then everyone was about to exit the room when Cody's phone went off. He answered the call and heard a cry.

"Gabriella, what's wrong baby?"

Raphael and Elijah's face contorted too as cody conveyed them the situation through mind link.

Hunter's heart skipped a beat and his steps faltered. There were numerous reactions. He couldn't comprehend anything after 'Gabriella' and 'baby'.

His heart beat sped at that name, then came anxiety that something is wrong with the person and then came rage at Cody calling her baby.

Before anyone can ask them what is  happening all three brothers were out of the room.

"Apparently my husband is not the only one Gabriella has got wrapped around her little fingers.". Nitara chuckled.

A sense of relief washed over Hunter after knowing that that was Cody's baby sister on the phone but still he felt agitated that something was wrong with her.

'What is wrong with me?'

He tried to focus at the former Luna of the pack.

"Come on, I will show you both your rooms."

Hunter followed behind Nitara and his uncle who were engaged in a conversation about the pack land.
