(Stray kids) Yang Jeongin

chapter 6

I look at the clock, five minutes left till lunch! today had been the longest day ever. I seriously can't stop thinking of what to say to Jeongin at lunch. I'm very nervous about what his reaction will be. I hope he can prove to me that he is a nice person and not the person Zoé claimed him of being.

 I look at Zoé and see her focusing on her French assignment she was supposed to hand in two days ago. 

"Having a bit of trouble Zoé?" 

"Yeah I'm not very good with transitioning verbs," she says while still looking at the assignment.

"I can help you with that, you should have asked me for help if you're too scared to ask the teacher" 

"Well I thought you were to busy with other things on your mind like Jeongin," she says with a glint of sadness in her voice. 

"You know Zoé that nothing will break us apart especially a boy," I say with true honesty I would never want a boy to break me and Zoé apart she's like a sister to me. 

The bell rings and it's finally lunch time. I wait for Zoé to pack up all her stuff on the table as a nice friend would "Hurry up Zoé I have to go find someone!" 

"No it's fine you can go without me I actually have to go meet someone too"

"Are you sure Zoé I can always wait for you if you want" 

"Nah it's fine go ahead"

"Okay if that's okay with you," I say a bit confused about why she said it's okay for me to go. She usually makes me wait for her in every class. Kinda weird that she said it's okay for me to go without her but I'll leave it be for now.

I go to the cafeteria to try to find Jeongin and thankfully, I see him sitting alone in the back of the cafeteria without anyone beside him which is kinda bizarre since he's usually surrounded by his friends.

I go up to him and sit beside him "Hi Jeongin, I'm sorry for sending you that message I didn't know that would hurt you so much."

"Well, what did you expect? We had this whole week planned out to hang out and you say 'Yeah we can't hang out any more' by text!? Smooth Natalia, just Smooth."

"Well, it's not my fault that you took pictures of me!" 

"What in the world are talking about? Why would I take pictures of you?" What in gods name is she talking about? I never ever took any pictures of her that would just be too weird.

"I don't know Jeongin that's the reason why I wanted to talk to you in the first place!" I'm so confused and angry that Jeongin didn't admit it! Why would he lie about it when I already know he was the one who took the pictures?

"Well, Natalia, firstly who was the one who told you I was taking pictures of you?"

"Um, Jeongin the person said I'm not allowed to tell you who they are," I say a bit sad that I couldn't tell him it's his sister. 

"Ha! Do you not get it, Natalia? They want you to think that I was the one who took the pictures but in reality it was them!"

I think about it for a bit, but no. Zoé would never do something like that right? She's my best friend and she is so innocent she would never take pictures of me. And for what? There is no reason for her to take pictures of me at all without permission of course. 

"She wouldn't do that Jeongin. I just know she wouldn't." I cover my mouth and gasp shit! Now Jeongin knows it's a girl who told me!

"Oh Natalia, you aren't very good at keeping a secret are you? You just said that she is a she! This will be easier then I thought." 

Should I just tell him who it is so it will be over? But if I do that Zoé will never trust me again and she is my best friend. Ugh, I don't know what I'll do anymore. Maybe I should just skip class and go home so I can think about it. 

Maybe it wasn't the best idea in the world, but at the time it seemed better than facing Jeongin and Zoé.

Hey y'all!! i haven't been making any progress on this book for awhile now and i'm so sorry. For real this time I'll try to be more active and post more.
