I know this is not how you start an art book, but I've been crying all day and need a release.
Today, a walkway at out school collapsed. 3 students were instantly killed, 21 others horribly injured.
The total deaths has gone up to 5, as another student, a friend I knew, died on scene. The way they died was horrific. My friend's entire back was broken, one of the were folded over like a lawn chair, and the other boy who died instantly... the officer dragged him out from under the huge slab of concrete and only half his body came out.
Several others lost limbs like lefs and such, broken hips, head trauma, and I know of two who are now paralysed.
I'm very emotional, it's been a week.
One of our no kill animal shelters, Purrpaws for Life, burnt down on the 30th, leave roughly 900 animals without shelter. And now this. On top of it all, we were moving our stuff to our new house today.
It's scary to see your entire school held up by support bars. I'll see if I can get a picture of that tomorrow. All the halls have rods holding the stories up because the school's been declared a disaster zone.
So please forgive me if I'm not active. I'm in a really bad place.
