In the words of the great Itachi Uchiha, video games are the personification and epitome of life. Sometimes, you just want to merge a bunch of games to make it more awesome and sometimes you just want to throw the game into a wall before burning it and throwing its ashes into a volcano. For Sasuke, today was like merging two of the greatest games ever into one and making a mega-awesome-world-dominating-game.
Today was the day that Sakura would meet Itachi for the "first time". Even though Sasuke knew that Sakura already knew his brother, he thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to introduce them to each other, only this time not as Sakura, a girl with leukemia, and Itachi, a man with cancer, but as Sakura, his friend and Itachi, his brother.
"Well, well, well, just look at you guys, coming to visit me at the same time," Itachi said as the two of them walked in. He placed his hand on his heart and wiped a fake tear from his left eye, "I feel so special."
"Shut up," Sasuke muttered as he walked into the room, Sakura following closely behind him.
"Hey, Itachi," she greeted.
"'Sup, Sakura," he smiled, "How's your treatment going?"
"It's...going." She chuckled weakly. "I have my next check-up in a week."
Itachi gave her a kind, warm smile. "I'm sure your results will improve significantly. You're a hella strong girl."
"Thanks."
Sasuke picked up Itachi's DS from the side desk at his brother's bedside. "How's Coconut Mall treating you?" He said with a grin.
"Hecking christ," Itachi groaned, "it's not as easy as you think!"
"How do you even die in it, Itachi," Sasuke teased, "there's like no possible way to die in it."
"I still beat you in Xenoverse every single time we play." Itachi stuck his tongue out like a little kid, "so suck that, Charasuke."
"Charasuke?" Sakura questioned.
"He's the dude from Menma," Itachi explained.
"I know that. I've seen the show, like, a million times," Sakura laughed, "but why call Sasuke that."
Sakura heard Sasuke grumble from beside her. "Itachi... Please shut up," she heard him whisper as Itachi let out a huge laugh.
"You've known him for how long?" He howled. "Sasuke and Charasuke are like the same exact person. They're both emotionally constipated, they've also both got that dark emo look to them—"
"Alright, Itachi," Sasuke interrupted. "It's time to shut the hecking hell up."
"What? I'm only speaking the truth," he defended himself. "You're just like the idiot from Menma."
"He's not an idiot."
"Sasuke." Sakura spoke in a matter-of-factly tone, "Charasuke is an idiot. For crying out loud, the guy tried to destroy his village then said he wanted to become the Hokage. If that's not an idiot, I don't know what is."
"Okay, but—"
"Sasuke," Itachi deadpanned, "it's two against one, stop being such a sore loser and accept the facts and start planning a Menma marathon for me."
"There's over 700 episodes of Menma. There's no way we could finish it all. Visiting hours don't last that long."
"Sasuke Uchiha, you really are an idiot," Itachi groaned. "We'll finish it within a few days."
"He's right, Sasuke," Sakura agreed, "besides, it sounds fun!"
Sasuke put his hands up in mock defense. "Geez gang up on me, will you. I understand this coming from my brother," he placed a hand on his heart, "but you too, Sakura, I thought we had something special."
