Chapter 6

You immediately stood up with Jonathan as you set your tattered hat on your head, readying your whip as Dio stalked towards the group of you, "Come no closer!", demands Jonathan as he picks up a gun, you crack your whip loudly, "Stay back Dio!", your trembling voice betrays your serious posture. "Not another step I mean it!", Jonathan shouts, "Blow his brains out now, do it before he kills us all!", demands Speedwagon, a shot was fired and a bullet went through Dio's head yet he still stood, you only stand there and paralyzed fear.

When he attacked you could only watch as he showed his unexplainable powers, as Dio shouted at Jonathan something tingled in you, whether it was adrenaline or instinct, your state of paralysis broke when Dio broke the spear. Time resumed as a yellow aura formed around you when you cracked your whip at Dio's back, "RAAAHHHHG", Dio cries out in pain as you take the chance to grab Jonathan and Speedwagon, and ran into safety, "(Y/n)!? H-how did you-!", "I-I don't know", you cut off Jonathan with your meek response as you looked down at your whip. You all heard Dio speak as you all gathered behind a curtain, "My, my, my (Y/n)~... were you keeping that little magic of yours a secret, I wonder how long have you had that ability of yours", he teases in amusement until his voice softened for a moment, "Come (Y/n), come with me, with your power and my own combined, we'll rule this entire country!", Dio declares as you press your back against Jonathan's chest.

Jonathan could tell you were frightened, he can feel your body tremble with fear as he wrapped an arm around your waist, he pulled you closer to bring you form of comfort as Dio's voice turned into a growl once he begins speaking to Jonathan. "I bet... You're all are hiding behind that curtain like belonious, and like belonious it is there that you shall end!", Dio declares and grabs the curtain, Jonathan lights a fire with the lantern with Speedwagon's assistance, and soon you hear Dio's scream, "No one is immortal, not even you!", Jonathan states as you move out of the way once Jonathan and Speedwagon stopped talking, you frowned and made herself relax as you face video, you heard Speedwagon being thrown and moved out of Jonathan's reach,"(Y/n)–!","No Jonathan, I somehow have the ability to harm Dio, and I am not leaving you here!", you shout, before Jonathan could say anything you jumped out of the flames Dio threw at the two of you, while Jonathan jumped up you threw your whip up and climbed it like it was a rope.

"Jonathan!", you shouted, he looks at you worriedly as you flip onto stable ground, loosening your whip you rolled it up as you looked at him, "you better have a plan!", you smirk as Jonathan looks Dio determined, "I'm waiting for you Dio", he gestures upwards. Dio glares and scoffs as Jonathan continues to speak, "know this, it ends here I will not let you leave this Manor alive!", he declares, Dio smirks as he casually walks up the wall while you continue to run to the top of the manor now understanding Jonathan's plan somewhat, you run beside him as he finally reached the top, readying your whip. The sound of Dio's cry made you turn around quickly only to see Dio kick Jonathan away, "Jonathan!", you slow your breathing as you let your whip glow again and cracked it against Dio, but at the last moment the whip stopped glowing as your breath hitched, Dio caught the whip effortlessly and smirked at you, "Why do you still try (Y/n)? Make this easier on yourself by being beside me!", he yells and yanks the whip causing you to be pulled forward.

"Diooo!",  Jonathan and tackle him into the hole causing you to be pulled in further, "Jonathan! Dio!", you exclaim as you all start falling together, you hear shouting as you all fall knowing it was a declaration of something you tried to maneuver yourself. You used your dagger to plunge into the wall stopping your fall and soon you hear Jonathan yelling, twisting your head to see Jonathan falling, "Jonathan!", you scream and look at Dio across from you who laughed victoriously, he then looks at you, "Now (Y/n)! Now you're mine!", he declares, you narrow your eyes as you look down. You threw down your whip, "Catch the whip Jonathan!", you shout as Jonathan looks at your falling whip and the spearhead, grabbing both items he jabbed the spearhead and embedded into the wall, with his other hand he readied the whip as he jumped from the spearhead. Aiming for Dio's ankle he hoped to catch his silently cursed when he was out of reach, and using your whip he threw it at Dio's leg, "Dio I'm not done with you!", you watched as Dio was pulled down but not before he grabbed your coat, "You're going with me (Y/n)!", he declared, you were all falling again and you swore while doing so until you heard Dio's cry of pain, looking at them you saw Jonathan plunge a dagger into Dio's side. Dio growled violently as he gripped onto your coat, Jonathan looked at you worriedly before he closed his eyes and kicked against the wall, impaling Dio to the Joestar's household angel, "RAAAHHHH! HOW COULD A WORM LIKE YOU-", Dio's cry was cut off from your own as you were tossed out of your coat.

The fire licked at your exposed arms making you cry out in pain when the fire did touch your skin, "JONATHAN!", "(Y/N)!", you heard his voice call out to you, shakily standing up you found him through the fire, once you and Jonathan finally reached one another you held on tightly as you both reached for one of the windows, "JOJOOO!", you heard Dio shout at the top of his lungs, suddenly a blast blew Jonathan out of one of the windows while your back slammed into a wall. Gasping you looked at Dio's burning body as you shakily stood up after falling from being slammed to the wall, your eyes met Dio's glowing red ones, his hand reached out to you as you attempted to get near another window to escape the fire. Your eyes widen when you hear your name being softly-spoken when Dio calls to you, "(Y/n)", "DIO-!", another blast cut you off, but you were thrown out of the window, air escaped from your mouth as you landed on the ground harshly.

"Ms.(Y/n), Ah~! Ms. (Y/n)!", Speedwagon called out to you as you rolled onto your stomach with a groan, "Is Jonathan- Is he-?", "Yes, he's alive and well", he confirmed showing you an injured but alive Jonathan. Getting on all fours you painfully smiled a bit when you saw Jonathan's unconscious body in Speedwagon's arms, slowly taking your whip back from him you ran a hand through his hair before trying to stand up, "Gah!?!", you gasp out falling to your side as Speedwagon cursed, "Miss (Y/n), don't move, you got some large shards of glass in your back and leg". You panted as your vision went hazy, your eyes landed on Jonathan before your vision traveled to the burning Manor, tears slowly fell from your eyes as you remembered all the painful memories and the happier moments. You could almost hear Danny's barking while a 12-year-old Jonathan laughed and played with him, Dio's witty remarks and questions when you two were in the library, Mr. Joestar's scolding, the servants' warnings, all of it.

You felt your throat burn as you closed your eyes while you curled your body, faintly you realized you were screaming to the point where your throat burn, you felt Speedwagon's hand on your shoulder and took note that he was trying to comfort you.

Faintly you could see the smoke rise up in the sky with your hazy vision, and with it were the fading memories of a home slowly being devoured by the fire.
