Chapter 12

Waiting outside Poco's home you continued to talk to Master Tonpetty about what he said earlier, "What do you mean half-human Master?", you asked hesitantly, "It's nothing much to worry about young one, as long as the mask doesn't bound to you it won't awaken your non-human counterpart", he explains. "What does the mask have to do with awakening (Y/n)'s non-human counterpart?", Jonathan asked concerned for your well-being, "We believe that (Y/n)'s bloodline is connected to the makers of the stone mask, though we are not certain how", Master Tonpetty inputs, a few of the men either gasped or sucked in a breath, "How do you know this?", you asked softly adjusting your tattered hat, "Your father, Julio, told me of your family's origins when he first used to hamon and had to explain why it had violet and yellow colors rather than the average yellow or orange tinge", he says.

"It also explains why you're hamon is very sensitive and highly adaptive", Master Tonpetty adds, you look at the ground frowning and stayed silent until Jonathan rested his hand on your shoulder, looking up at him in slight surprise, "Jonathan?", "Don't fret too much about it (Y/n), so long as the mask doesn't latch onto you it is unlikely that you'll awaken this counterpart of yours", he comforts, you give a relieved smile, "He is right, so long as a mask does not come in contact love you, you will not transform", Dire reassures you only side in relief until Poco run out of his house in tears, "He has my sister!". Jogging over to Poco you try to soothe him as he sobs in your tunic shirt, "That man you search for! He could have my sister!", you rub his shoulder as you look at the men behind you, "To the castle, it is then", you stay as you all look at the castle on the cliff.

You scowl as you faced the castle, "Dio...", you thought,"... Today is the day, the day we have to end your madness", a small portion of you –one you hid well– silently mourned for having to end a friendship. You all ready yourselves as you checked on your whip and dagger, making sure the dagger was sharp you put it back once you were satisfied with its quality, with a curt nod of affirmation you all made your way to the castle. Once you all reached it, it was agreed that it was better to attack from the top to surprise Dio, you all steadily walked on the roof until you stopped walking, "(Y/n) what's wrong?", Speedwagon asked, you stared at a certain direction and pointed at the stained glass, "I think I found Poco's sister and...Dio!", you lately jogged over. "Let's go!", Jonathan followed after you with the others trailing behind, peeking in you noted Dio's absence but Poco's sister was being attacked by a zombie, you scowled as you stood over the glass, "Anyone have anything to toss in'", you ask, Straizo handed you an anvil he somehow found, ignoring that you put some hamon into it and threw it down as hard as you could once the zombie was in a certain placement.

The zombie yelled before he screeched out,"Oi who hit me!? Who's there!?", he looks up at the group, "Doesn't matter does it?", Jonathan glares down at him, "You're a zombie, your kind doesn't deserve any introductions", "Sister!!", Poco calls out, you look down at the girl who looks up at Poco, "Poco!". You jumped down with Jonathan to protect Poco sister, once you landed you stood in front of her drawing out your whip, seeing the zombie laugh you looked at Jonathan checking his condition, only to see him tentatively reach for his face, "What did that? What's he got under there?", he mumbles, with a quick glance at the zombie's mask you dash towards it ripping it off only to gape at the sight once you were far enough, "Serpents!?". He only continues to laugh, "Run! Run! Run! Hehehe", he grins madly, "Bit surprised are ya", you glare as you dashed over to Poco's sister, stretching your whip out in front of you with a crack.

Jonathan looked back once the zombie charged at him, "How wearisome", he took a stance, "I haven't the time to deal with any more of Dio's foolish games", he states, just as the serpents were launched at him he grabbed them between his fingers, before reaching a handle grip in the zombie's head, and kneeing his chin, "I'll use a bit of the great hamon I possess to turn these serpents back on their master!". You watched as a serpents bit at their owners head, only to turn back to see Poco running to his sister, "Poco!", "Sister!", they called out to one another until they laughed once they were reunited in each other's arms, with a brief smile you, you strained up looking at the other hamon users, with your heart racing you all nodded at one another before continuing on to Dio's lair. When you and Jonathan reach the door you looked at each other, and nodded before suing the door is open, there Dio stood confidently, his back facing both of you, "Guess who survived his time and hell Dio", Jonathan stairs him down, "You are alive JoJo, curious", Dio turns to face you two, "I suppose logically that would mean you killed my two nights", just as he said that more creatures under behind him, "that and that (y/n) discovered something within her blood", his eyes linger on you.

You couldn't help the Sharpshooter over that stretch your spine as you stared him down while zombies asked to kill us Jonathan and you, "Dio / Try Me!", you and Jonathan shout taking a step forward, "No, this one is for me, he falls by my hand alone, but you all may try to plant the mask on her while I'm busy with him", he points at you, but that only made you tense more when he didn't bring it out. You stepped back once they disappeared, and wildly searched for who could have the mask, Dio caught your attention once you begin to speak, "Don't misunderstand me, JoJo, honestly this is something I will take no pleasure, we were raised in the same house and the prospect of turning you into an undead thing is not a happy one for me, that's why I wanted you to be quickly despatched by my undead knights", he explains, Jonathan grumbles slowly, "but it would seem in the end I underestimated you, seeing you here alive, brings me to the realization that as an emperor I was being far too soft, but now, now I'll put you to death without a moment's thought or computation!", Dio explains, "I could say the same, I will feel no hint of guilt for your death!", Jonathan retorts back is fear and worry nearly scrambled your mind.

"But I have a question JoJo, whatever happened to the mustachioed charlatan of yours, you seem to have lost him", Dio taunts making you scowl, "Hear me, Dio, it shames me as a gentleman to say this, but I can no longer hold back the truth, I Jonathan Joestar have such hatred for you, Vengeance consumes me, I swear I will kill you!", Jonathan declares, nearly making you gape at his words, "Humph, come JoJo!", Dio grins. Just as Jonathan was about to attack he was held back by Dire, "What are you doing?", he asked and surprised as you looked over at him questionably, "JoJo please step aside, I have prior claim, it is my duty to avenge my friends killing, Zeppeli was a brave man and boon companion, two decades of harsh training, deal for his life I shall now send you to the bowels of Hell itself!!", he declares. "No, wait Dire, listen to Dio has hidden abilities for which you are not prepared!", Jonathan tries to explain until you saw the vibes he produced, "No Jonathan look!", you point out to him, both of you watch in partial awe and careful observation.

You watched as he floated in the air and attacked Dio watching him pull the same stunt he did to Jonathan, just as he nearly landed a hit on Dio, his body began to freeze over, "Miérda!", you routes. pulling out your whip you froze once Dire's body shattered into smaller pieces. Dire's head landed in some roses as Dio pointed at Jonathan, "It is time JoJo, you're the next I shall dispatch to Oblivion!", you grit your teeth as they paired for battle until a Rose struck Dio's eye, surprising you as you look down at Dire's severed head, "This hamon filled rose has thorns do sting a bit", he chuckled before freezing over and shattering once more fading out of existence. You then face Dio and Jonathan who stared each other down, was zombies appeared around your group, now all you had to do was find the mask.
