Chapter 10

(Mae's POV)
Today was our first day being in Washington, DC so me and Harry thought we should both celebrate. I know what your thinking, what about everyone else? Well they wanted to go out clubbing, while me and Harry have a wonderful dinner at a fancy restaurant.
We were eating our meal when my phone went off. 'See I've been waiting all day
For you to call me, baby' Harry gave me a questioning look. "What? It's a pretty catchy song." I admitted to him. I looked at the called ID, it was a unknown number.
"Hello?" I answered my phone.
"Hi, is this Mae Jackson speaking?" the voice asked.
"Erm, yes. Who may I be speaking to?" I asked the person on the other line. The voice sounded very familiar but I just couldn't put a name to it.
"Well, this is uhm, this is Caroline speaking." Caroline? Why would she be calling me? "Caroline?" I questioned.
I excused myself from the table and went to the waiting room in front of the restaurant. "Why are you calling me? What's wrong? Did anything happen?" all these questions were just bursting out of me. "Woah, calm down. I was just calling because there is a problem with Nicole..." Caroline explained to me.
My mind was going crazy! I haven't heard from Caroline since like, 3 years! Worse, I haven't thought of Nicole since the day she was born.
"Caroline, now is not the time. If you can tell I am busy with my own life." I heard her gasp.
"Nicole 'is' your life." she defended Nicole.
My heart sank, I was about to cry but I held it all in. I didn't want to get attention from people.
(Harry's POV)
After Mae left, when she was out of view I followed where she had went. Surprisingly she didn't go to far, she just sat at the waiting room. I heard her conversation on the phone with I think, Caroline?
"Why are you calling me? What's wrong? Did anything happen?" I heard Mae's voice she sounded so panicked.
"Caroline, now is not the time. If you can tell I am busy with my own life." I heard her say to the phone. What is she hiding from me?

Sorry guys it took so long to update. Im in the airport and i used my ipod to update. Its kinda rushed but whatevs. Hope you guys like it! And happy birthday to Liam! good thing teres wi-fi here! And sorry its short.
