Chapter 2

We decided to head back to our car and started talking about the vacation we're planning.

"Instead of day trips want to just stay in NYC for like a week, or a couple of days?"Dani asked. I thought about it, would that be easier? Cheaper? I work at a local restaurant and I'm not exactly getting paid the "big bucks".

"Hmmm... That would be easier! This way we don't have to worry about saving extra money for a different place." I said deciding it was a really good idea just to stay in the city for a couple days.

We drove back to my house and called Grace. She's a really close friend from a long time ago, she went somewhere with her parents and didn't have cell service? I don't know the situation, all I know is that she went away for a while and just came back.

Grace said she missed us and agreed to come with us on our trip. The next couple days we were getting our suitcases together for our 4-day trip. It was going to be a fun and relaxing vacation.

We just arrived at the hotel in NYC it was on 53rd street. It was really nice and very big. The girls and I brought our bags to the room and headed out to explore the Big Apple.

We walked back up to our room exhausted with at least 5 bags of shopping each.

"Ugh I’m so tired!" Grace exclaimed. Dani and I just fell back on the bed and nodded our heads agreeing.

"Let’s get some sleep! We have a big day tomorrow!" I said to the girls. They looked at me confused and I smirked. I had a surprise for them and they had no idea.

The next day the three of us got dressed, took showers, do our makeup, our hair, etc. After we were done getting ready we headed downstairs to get some breakfast.

The hotel had every breakfast food you could think of, pancakes, sausages, waffles, a billion different types of eggs, French toast, etc. We all rounded all the different foods and picked what we wanted. I think our plates we were so full that one more food would be too heavy to carry. We sat down and ate are huge breakfasts.

After breakfast we called a taxi, which took a while since none of the taxis were stopping. One thing I don’t like about the city, it takes so long to get one and their sao expensive.

I told the driver the address and Danielle whined "Where are we going?" I just replied with "You'll see when we get there!" she groaned while Grace and I laughed.

"You're very impatient Dani" Grace said chuckling a little. Danielle just playfully glared at her before we all started laughing and Dani said "I know."

We got to our destination and I took Grace and Danielle's arms towards the theater. They were wide eyed and then looked at me and hugged me.

"Omg this is awesome! When did you think of this?" Dani asked.

"I got the tickets the other day because I thought it would be something fun to go to." I said smiling.

Grace asked " What show are we seeing?!" I pointed to the sign with Mary Poppins on it and Grace stared at me and said "That's one of my favorite movies!!"

Danielle nodded agreeing.

"Good, good it's supposed to be a really good show" I said to her excitedly.

We headed into the theater and took our seats, we weren't all the way in the front but we could see everything well.

The show was brilliant; it was like a 3D version of the actual movie. We loved it; the girls thanked me again after the show.

When we got out we were skipping down the streets with our arms linked singing “A spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down! The medicine go down!”
