Morning...

The gang decided for another hike around the forest first thing in the morning. So everyone got up early to start preparing, Zach was the last to wake up, unusually. But he sort of expected it since he didn't rest at all before the encounter with the figure last night. He's rather forget about it.

"Alright, everyone. This time, we'll go by fours. Then meet back at the camp for lunch, alright?" Zach hollered and everyone grouped into fours. Malik, Mandy, Shadow and Lauren, then Lucy, Luke, Felix and Zach. "Remember, meet up here by lunch!"

Everyone nodded and went separate directions, Malik's group went south while Zach's went north. Malik's group noticed how much nature there was in their spot, Mandy started picking flowers even. Lauren loved the sound of the birds chirping, and Felix liked the sound of the flowing river nearby. Shadow smiled at Lauren and admired the sounds with her.

But then Malik heard someone crying from somewhere, he looked at everyone else. "Guys, do you hear that?"

"What is it?" Shadow asked.

"I can hear crying." Malik answered and turned to the direction of the sound, "This way. But be careful."

Everyone silently walked towards the sound, they stopped behind a bush to peek, they saw a little girl sitting down, sobbing. They glanced at each other, then walked to the girl.

Malik crouched down to her height, "Hey.. are you alright?" He asked, the girl looked up.

"I'm.. I'm fine.." The girl whispered, wiping her tears.

"Where are your parents?" Lauren asked. The little girl frowned.

"I.. actually don't know where mommy and daddy are.." She sobbed. Malik petted her head for comfort. Shadow and Mandy stood behind them.

"We can help you, what's your name?" Mandy joined in and kneeled down to the little girl, then she saw a name on the teddy bear the girl's holding. "Madison.. is that your name?" The girl nodded. "Madison, we can help you find your parents." Mandy added.

"I not need help.." The girl whispered, she looked like a three or four year old because of her speech and height.

"It'll be easier for you to find your parents if you let us help." Malik said.

"Not here." Madison spoke quietly. The group was confused on what the girl's saying. Madison looked up at them. "They're alive, yes.. but they disappear years ago.."

"Wait.. didn't you say you didn't know where they were a while back..?" Shadow asked confusingly.

"Sorry... I have short term memories a.. lot." Madison squeaked.

"It's alright.." Malik trailed, "Do you want to come with us?"

"I am going to my cousin's camp." Madison answered happily. "They actually let me stay with them while mommy and daddy are gone."

"Okay.. so.. will you be okay?" Lauren asked curiously.

"Not dead, so yes." Madison smiled innocently and skipped away. "Bye bye!"

The group stared at her in confusion.

"Um..." Shadow mumbled, "That was.."

"Weird and confusing." Mandy whispered. "I didn't get much of the stuff she said."

Malik sighed and stood up. "Let's just continue our hike, she's fine now." Malik said and they continued their hike until lunch.
