A Deadly Encounter

Blood stains the walls of the eerie and abandoned village. 3 ninja lie on the ground, blood soaking their clothing as 10 other ninja in similar looking masks tower over them. Among the slaughter, remains one survivor, a young girl with blue hair with a look of fear in her eyes. She turns and runs trying to escape the ninja that had murdered her comrades. The group takes chase. The girl runs through the alleys blindly, desperately trying to hold back her tears. Suddenly, she comes to a dead end, a wall blocking her path. She can hear the flurry of feet following behind her, in a panic she searches the nearby dumpster. She finds a rope and a hook quickly tying them together and throwing the hook over the wall. She starts to scale up the wall, but before she gets far the rope is cut by a thrown shuriken. The girl falls and hits her head on the ground falling unconscious.

When the girl came to, she found herself in a faintly lit room. She was in a chair with her hands tied behind her back. She looked around, observing her surroundings. The room seemed empty aside from some boxes and crates scattered here and there. She focused her chakra to make a water shuriken in her hand and began cutting the rope with it. When the rope snapped, she jolted herself up and rushed to the door. She kept her body low and her kunai clenched in her hand as she crept through the rogues' hideout looking for a way out. Minutes after, the rogue ninja go to check on their captive to find her missing. The rogue leader shakes his head, "You morons couldn't handle the simple task of holding a girl captive?" The rogue leader sounds very annoyed. "Without the girl, we have no ransom. Find her!" The five ninja behind him disappear in a poof of smoke.

Elsewhere, the girl navigates her way through the worn down village finding her path of escape. She starts sprinting towards it, but a rogue ninja suddenly appears in her path. She doesn't slow up, she keeps pressing forward now taking a charge. The ninja throws thin needles at her, she reacts with a water clone substitution jutsu. As she nears the rogue ninja she winds up a punch and swings. The ninja effortlessly steps to the side, causing the girl to lose her balance and fall to the ground. When she looked up, she saw more feet in front of her. She turned onto her back with her kunai in hand ready to defend herself. One of the ninjas starts to step forward, "You're coming with us," he scowled.

The blue haired girl couldn't hide the fear on her face as she clenched her kunai tightly. Then, an orange blur became rushing through the rogue ninja, knocking them out as it burrows through. One of the ninja escape in the chaos as his comrades fall. Standing before her, was a young man in an orange jacket and brown hair twirling a kunai at his side. The girl holds back a look of joy and relief, instead showing a look of calm and stability. The male ninja ceases twirling the kunai letting it rest on his hip as he steps forward to approach the young girl helping her onto her feet. Their eyes met both being relatively similar heights. "Are you hurt, Azure?" the ninja in orange spoke. Azure's face became flustered letting her body reach a more relaxed state.

"No, I'm fine," she responded lightly rubbing her wrist. The ninja took Azure's hand studying her wrist which had been bruised from the rope.

"They tied you up, eh?" the ninja spoke again.

"I-I said I'm fine, Scarlet.." Azure murmured becoming more embarrassed pulling her arm away, "What are you even doing out here anyways?"

"I had a hunch," Scarlet stated, "I figured you all could use some help so I came out to support you." Scarlet's attitude was confident, chin up and cocky. He looked around curiously. "Hey, where is everyone else, anyways?"

"They're..." Azure hung her head in shame tears coming to her eyes. Scarlet's confidence turned to distraught feeling the pain in Azure's voice.

"No way..." Scarlet's eyes closed, when they opened there was a ray of determination shining through them, "Don't worry, those fiends will get what's coming to them. Crimson and Breeze are taking care of them as we speak." Azure's body grew tense from shock. With a gasp Azure leaps forward grabbing Scarlet's jacket tightly.

"No! Please, don't fight them. They'll die down there, Scarlet, there's too many of them!" Scarlet could see the fear the rested in Azure's eyes. He took her shoulders and gave her a gentle smile as a means to calm her.

"Calm down, okay? Everything's going to be fine, there won't be any fighting."

"Wha-"

Suddenly Azure is cut off by a figure dropping from the trees, dressed in the same attire as the rogue ninja that captured her. Azure jumps back startled. The man was brawny, with a large chest and buff arms. As the man straightened up, he removed his mask to reveal a familiar face with a strong jaw and spiky orange hair. "Everything's set on my end," the ninja reported, "The rest is up to Breeze now." Scarlet gave the ninja a smile letting his hand sink into his pockets.

"Good work, Crimson," Scarlet remarked, " You've really devoted yourself to working faster."

"Of course! I've got to show you up somehow."

With the mysterious ninja revealed, Azure let herself relax again letting out a long sigh. "Damn it, Crimson. You scared me," Azure exhaled.

"How sweet, I make your heart beat fast," Crimson said flirtatiously giving a wink to Azure. In response Azure's hand came down onto Crimson's head with a karate chop propelling Crimson's body downward.

"This is not the time to be flirting!" Azure exclaimed pouting and facing away from him. Scarlet stands there scratching the back of his head laughing nervously. Then, in a poof of smoke, another ninja dressed in rogue clothing appeared carrying a large fan on her back. All eyes in the group turned to face the new the figure. The ninja lifted a hand to remove the mask, a gentle face with pink lipstick applied hiding beneath. "Everything's ready to go," she reported, "This place should go up in flames in just a few minutes."

"Aisha!" Azure exclaimed running to the ninja and hugging her tightly, "I was so worried, I'm glad you're okay!"

"I feel the same way, Little Sis," Aisha answered.

"We've all done good work here," Scarlet announced, "But we should get going now to escape the blast radius, or before any more of those ninjas find us."

The group turns to leave, but Crimson suddenly stops. He can sense something flying through the air. He dashes over towards Scarlet, standing in front of him and catching an airborne kunai between his fingers. He repositions the kunai into his hand and flings it back from the direction it came from, noticing movement beyond the brush. "We've got company," he snarls.

Scarlet turns back to face Crimson, "Well, we don't have time to play," Scarlet remarks, "If he wants to catch us, he'll have to keep up."

The four ninja jump into the trees vanishing into the thick forest, a fifth mysterious figure following not far behind. The figure chases after the young ninjas steadily catching up to them. He grows closer and closer with each leap until he is right above them. "You damn kids!" he cries, "I'll kill you!"

"We'll see about that," Aisha complies holding up a hand sign close to her face. Three shadow clones poof into existence and start to attack the mysterious ninja. Fending off the three clones slows the man down, the four young ninja start to split paths. One by one the ninja overpowers the clones causing them to disappear. He continues forward again seeing two of the ninja still together, the orange one and the blue one. He chases them relentlessly getting a jump onto them forcing them into the ground. He forces their faces into the dirt holding them down.

"Where did the rest of them go?" he scolds.

Scarlet scoffs, "How should we know?"

"What?" the ninja yells.

"Guess we're not the ninjas you're looking for," Azure giggles.

Just like that, the two clones disappear, Azure's splashing away and Scarlet's fading out of existence. Distraught and confused, the rogue lays there on the ground on his hands and knees. He sits up and hears a roaring boom from behind him. He turns hearing more explosions going off. In the distance, he can see the explosions and the smoke that followed. It was coming from the hideout.
