Silence filled the air as Aaron walked off, no one would talk all we could do was star as he walked away. After he vanished through the school doors Gwyn just looked at me, a perplexed expression on her face. " What?" I asked. " Nothing. Just wondering what your going to do?" " I don't know honestly, I guess i'm just going to have to meet this Nick Kelly, by the way who was that?" " That was Tia Jones, she's the most popular girl at school and someone you don't want to get on the bad side of".
Soon after the bell rang and we started to get up. A boy with short, wavy, black hair and a wicked grin Came up to us. " Your Jessie right?" he asked " Yes, and you are?" " Nick" he said giving me a wink then started to walk away. So that's Nick Kelly, I thought, turning around to see Gwyn and Taylor staring mouths agape at the place where he had stood.
My last period was Music. It was in a big classroom filled to the rim with Instruments ranging from drums to the Harpsichord. Everyone had filed into the room after I sat down. The teacher came in after everyone sat down and started the role call. After she finished with the role call she started talking. " Students, today we will be starting a new project. This project will consist of creating a song and preforming it in front of the class, now you can either create a song of your own or you can make a song your own, just make sure to change it a little, also you will be grouped in pairs of two." She then started to call out groups, Tia was paired with Aaron, Gwyn was paired with a guy named Derek, and Taylor was paired with a guy named Noah. After calling everyone's name she finally got to mine " Jessie you'll be paired with Nick". Nick started walking toward me after she finished with everyone's names. " Hey, Partner" He said with a stupid cocky grin on his face. " Hey" I replied with a small wave. " So do you wanna create a song of our own or cover a song already made?" I asked him" How about Cover a song, I don't have all the time in the world to be creating a song of my own." He replied while scrolling through his phone. I was about to ask which song he wanted to cover when the bell rang and he went running out the door.
When I made it home, I could see my dad's pickup in the driveway. He was never home, always working late, trying to support us. " Dad you're home" I said coming through the front door. " Yeah, I thought I should be here when you came home" He said, a small smile painted his face. " I just thought that I should be here since you're mother cant" He continued to say the smile falling from his face. My mom had died a little over a year ago from a car accident. She was coming home from a friends house, when a drunk driver came speeding out and ran into her. She never had a chance, when the impact hit, it caused her to have internal bleeding and they couldn't get to her fast enough. My dad went into depression ,and I had cried for months on end, until I couldn't cry anymore.
" Well thanks, for being here but i'm going to go lay down for a little bit" I replied as I headed up stairs to my bedroom, and soon passed out from exhaustion.
