"Ghouls have keen senses. They can smell people or meat from afar and can tell apart humans and ghouls by their smell."With the acceptance rate of 1%.
Even with the increases in students wanting to study the subject each year, the program is extremely strict and hard to get approved due to the high risk and dangerous mission against ghouls. Students go through a variety of tests and courses when they apply for the program. University's administrators who work directly for CCG will then pick out the ones they see as most potential for the program. Each year, SNU only accept 200 new students out of roughly 5000 applications.
A 4% acceptance rate.
Most would still transferred over to the program in their 3rd or 4th year if they are accepted, and begin their study as a freshman because it is a 4 years program. Therefore, the chance of first year being accepted in the program is less than 1%.
First years who were capable enough to be accepted in the programs, usually are the ones that had been training prior to their high school lives. Parents prepared them from young age so they have the capability to stand above others during the application progress. And not to mention, SNU is extremely strict and harsh.
Jeon Jungkook, is that 1% at the nation's elite Univeristy, SNU.
That's why Airi couldn't help but wonder, how a timid and shy man like him was capable enough to pass the harsh tests. His expression looks so delicate.
A few clapping from Jimin's hand catches the attention of everyone in the circle. Everyone is suddenly reminded, Park Jimin is also that 1% at SNU. He was accepted to the program in his first year.
"Congratulation, Jungkook-ssi." Jimin congratulates the younger man. "It must have been tough." Jimin chuckles from his own experiences. "Everyone, let's welcome Jungkook."
"Yess, welcome Jungkook. Congratulation!" A 3rd female student joins in the clapping and soon everyone did as well.
Jungkook slightly nods in embarrassment. Jimin especially claps enthusiastically, a proud expression on his face.
Airi then notices Jungkook has on the same pair silver hoop earrings that Jimin has on.
'Do they know each other?' Airi couldn't help but wonder. 'Are they possibly... a couple?'
The young girl couldn't help but chuckles. Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. She is interested to know, but isn't that curious. After all, the year of 2160, South Korea has already legalized same sex marriage long ago.
The night goes on with students showing off their specialty or hobbies such as dancing, singing and combats. It's the perfect night for first year students to stand out. Beverages with alcohol are also served as well.
Hyori, being in her third year, is known for her singing and dancing, but she let the first year students take the spotlight because it is their day. She stood in the crowd, joining in the fun.
As for Airi, she decides to take some fresh air. She holds a fruit alcohol bottle beverage and makes her way out of the crowd stadium. Students had also spread out, standing in the halls as they chat with their new friends and old friends. On her way outside, she stops when she overheard a group of male and female students talking about ghouls. It looks as if the third and fourth years are discussing the topic with the new students.
"Really? I've heard about it but I didn't know who it was!" A female student has a bottle of soju in her hand, sipping on it every now and then when other people are talking.
"Yes, SNU, SKKU and a few others have the most interns accepted at CCG. We have a few fourth and third years there but their identities remain anonymous for privacy reasons." A fourth year student said cheerfully.
