A quiet morning hits the Hamilton-Hansen household as both mothers awoke early on the brisk Thursday morning. The two women weren't exactly sure why but they both decided to just get an early start to the day. With a yawn, Normani rolled over as she laid her head on Dinah's chest.

"Remember, I'm making breakfast and waking up the girls, but only if you do drop off and pick up," Normani mumbled sleepily.

"Make waffles for breakfast and you have yourself a deal," Dinah grumbled back as she kissed her wife's forehead.

Normani lets out a laugh. "Deal," they share a quick kiss before she gets up and makes her way to the kitchen as she starts to prepare the family's breakfast, gathering ingredients as she begins to whip up the batter for the waffle. Setting it aside, she then crept up the stairs, going one by one to each of her daughters' bedrooms.

The mom peeked into the first room, smiling softly as she watched her oldest, Ally dream, thinking about how the 18-year-old looked so peaceful as she slept, so much so the older woman didn't want to disturb her. Unfortunately, she had school, so there was no exception to sleep in. "Morning hun," the eldest daughter emitted a groan as her mother attempted to wake her, turning over while Normani sighed, rolling her eyes. "Come on, sweetheart, you have school," it was if her daughter didn't want to wake up, and she doesn't blame her, but it is what it is. "If you don't wake up, you're going to miss out on the waffles." The mention of the famed breakfast food was enough for Ally to wake her up, and Normani smirked satisfied before she moved on to the next room.

The next to wake up, Lauren, the 17-year-old was lying sprawled out on her mattress, her math textbook on her chest and her dog Cleo sitting on the foot of the bed. The older woman just chuckled lightly at the sight, shaking her awake. Lauren jumped up, eyes wide, looking at her surroundings before her sights landed on her mother. She let out a sigh, realizing it was the only morning.

"Morning, mom," Lauren stifled a yawn.

"Morning, honey. Get dressed okay?"

"Okay" She ran a hand through her hair as she stretched.

The last to be woken up was Camila, who was curled up in her blankets with her little golden retriever puppy, Ringo, the canine snoring in his bed right next to Mila's, only to wake up to the creak of the bedroom door being opened and Normani walking in.

The puppy smiled as he watched the mother walk over to wake the 14-year-old. "Hey, love, time to wake up," Mani spoke gently, causing Camila to stir. When the girl opened her eyes, letting them adjust to the world around her, she frowned, feeling off. Normani saw that Camila's shirt had come up a bit while she was asleep, she found her stomach looking on the bloated side.

"I don't think school is a great call today, mommy," Camila says, rubbing her eye like the child she was.

"And why is that?" Normani questioned, expecting to hear some weak excuse that would be immediately shot down.

"I-I don't feel good..." Camila coughed a deep cough. Mani sighed, shaking her head.

"That's what you said last week and the week before that. Love, you can't be sick every single week." Normani talked down to her daughter. They both knew that a couple of days away from school was okay, but with Mila's protests of staying home, she and Dinah began to think it was an act or the girl was just too lazy to go to school. "Mila, you are not getting out of school this time. Come on."

"But-" the girl tried to argue.

"But nothing, love. Hurry I made waffles" Normani says in an exasperated tone as she leaves. Camila laid back in bed with a huff. She was aware of the fact that she kept telling her parents about her illnesses, but she wasn't faking it; not this time.
