I'm kind of not used to writing in 3rd person so it might get confusing but the two points of view I will be talking in are harpers and narrators.

"How the hell did I let this happen? How did even happen? I should probably go talk to him, right?" Harper mumbles pacing the room. There was a knock on the door and Harper goes to open it.
"Harp, you ok?" Roger asks her.
"I'll be ok but you just need to tell me what the hell happened last night!" Roger sat me down and talked me through everything that happened. Harper sat embarrased with her head in her hands. "Roger I'm so sorry for last night"

"Harp, there is nothing to be sorry for. I quite enjoyed it really."

"Oh really? Was I that good of a shag?"

"The best I've ever had." We both laughed but it quickly fizzled out. "Look, I need sober you, to tell me, do you really like me, you know, more than I though?"

"yes" Harper whispered.

"I need you to speak up princess. I am your knight in shining armor toger raylor."

Harper laughs nervously, "Um, well the truth is yes, I do like you like that and I completely understand if you don't like me back like that."

"Harper Dirty Shirley Jones, you want to know the reason I am a basic, downright playboy? It's because there is a void, in my heart, a void I can't fill with you. So I try to fill it with little flings here and there. Last night, when you told me you loved me, I felt the connection. So, will you, Harper Lee, go out on a date with me, this Thursday night?"

"Why thursday?"

"Why not thursday?" He laughs.

It's days later since the strange morning, the days leading up to thursday felt fast. Harper called Freddie, Mary, and Sugar over to help pick out an outfit. For being Roger's lifelong best friend, she was nervous to go out with him. Sugar was over the moon when she heard about them going on a date. She always knew something was going to happen with them. So she was basically bouncing off the walls.

Harper heard a knock at the door and walked over to see who it was. When she opened the door, Mary, Freddie, and Sugar all came bursting in. "What are you guys doing here already? Roger's picking me up at 7 and it's 3!"

"Darling, we are here to make you look like a queen! Now, where is he taking you?"

"Well, idk. Does it matter?" Harper asks and they all look at her as if she said something wrong.

"Well Harper, of course it matters. You have to dress for the occasion, don't over dress, don't under dress. You know?"

"well now I do" Harper whispered quietly. They now have her worried out of her mind. Before, she was fine. She had gone out with Roger many times before. But now she was going out with him, not just as friends, but as a date. "I've known Roger all my life, I think what I wear hardly matters."

"It may not matter to him or you right now, but who knows it might matter in the future!" Sugar explains before running off to Harpers closet.

"Now, Darling, be a dear and call Roger to see where he is taking you!" Freddie motions Harper over to the phone. She looks at it taking a deep breath before picking it up and dialing Roger's number. It rings for a bit before Roger picks up.

"Hello?"

"Hey Rog."

"Harp! You're not calling to cancel on me are you?"
