If you've played Unforgiving: A Northern Hymn or have at least heard of it just know that the things I talk about in this story happened but also didn't happen as well.
Yes, Näcken was cast out of Asgard but his story is never elaborated on as to why he was on Asgard. Was he a god? A performer? A servant? What? We know why he got kicked out but nothing else.
I plan on making a video about the theory one day but I talk about it on here right now.
To me I think Näcken was a god of the things I listed and some fans of the game agree. That and I know more about the background of the game more than most because I have actually asked a lot about the game and all of that good stuff and surprisingly the devs told me things to a degree.
Also the Nix to me are different guys same goes for the Hulder race. Also in the game you can come across a haunted house that belonged to an artist and they had drawings of both Näcken and Nøkken so it's inferred that the two are separate guys in the game universe.
Nøkken's story though is entirely mine. Also Eføy's last name means Folk friend in Norwegian.
