Something Entirely New

Clementines P.O.V

I look out the window of my apartment.

I see a beautiful morning sky. Isn't it funny how our world is so mean and cruel.... but so beautiful aswell?

I sigh and turn around. I walk forward and trip over something in my way.

A loud thud echoes through my empty apartment.

"Ah.... Fuck" I gasp as I rub my bruised elbow.

I look over at a box. That must've been what I tripped over.

I crawl over to the box and open it up. Inside is a picture of my parents.

I sigh and frown at the photo. It's frame was swarmed with dust but the photo was weirdly clear.

I hug the photo and place it back into the box.

I sigh and pick it up and grab my car keys.

I turn around to look at the door in front of me.

"Goodbye apartment. Thanks for having me." I say to myself.

I open the door and walk through the hall all the way to my car.

And this is where the real story comes in.

I park my car in the driveway and grab my phone.

While unbuckiling my seatbelt I open the car door and then step outside into a nice breeze.

I walk towards the door and knock twice.

Suddenly the door swings open and in front of me stands a man who's taken care of me for as long as I could remember.

"Clementine..."

"Lee!" I smile as I give him a hug.

"I see you've kept your hair short just like I told you." Lee chuckles.

"You know I never break promises Lee." I reply as I cross my arms.

"I know.... Well all your stuff is in your room sweetheart." Lee says as he puts his hand on my shoulder.

"Now come on in, we have alot to discuss." Lee smiles.

I walk in and Lee directs me to my room. I walk inside and see my boxes placed on the floor and my bed and desk had already been set up.

I start to unpack my boxes and place things in the cupboard.

Lee walks into my room and sits on the bed.

"So what school you plan on joining?" Lee asks.

"School? I dropped out." I answer looking up from my phone.

"Come on Clementine your 17. In school you get so many opportunities. You even get to meet new people." Lee says as he throws his hands in the air.

I think to myself for a moment.

Meet new people? Seek new opportunities? Well I don't really have many friends and. I don't really have any interests. Maybe Lee is right. Maybe I should go to school.

"Lee. I think your right. I'll start going to School! I barely have any friends or occupations so I guess why not." I say

"That's the spirit! Y'know there's a school down the road called TellTale High. You could go apply there." Lee suggests.
