A giant is Somnos, who lives in the sky. Blue is his skin, which is why the sky is blue in the daytime. As old as Planet Fait is Somnos himself. Therefore, being so old, white are the hairs on the arms and chest of Somnos, and these are the clouds.
In his humongous hand is held Planet Fait by Somnos, who walks with our planet on a path of zooming asteroids around the weird sun. It takes him one whole orbit to make one whole circle around the weird sun. (On other planets, in other galaxies, they call an "orbit" a "year.")
Sometimes Somnos stumbles, and this is what some call an "earthquake," though on Fait, creatures call it a faitquake.
Sometimes Somnos weeps, for he gets so tired and lonely, walking around in outer space all by himself, and this is when it rains. Sometimes Somnos sneezes, and this is what we call a hurricane.
In the nighttime, so humongous is Somnos that when he lies down to sleep, he drapes his equally enormous cape across his body and around himself, and uses it for a blanket. Made is this gigantic cape from all the softest furs of all the sweetest, softest creatures who ever lived. So soft, so warm, so inviting, is the dark fur of Somnos' cape that sylvas like to snuggle up and get stuck in it, and these are the stars you see in the black above at night.
One gargantuan white eye has Somnos, in the middle of his forehead, with which he watches over everyone. With his one eye open Somnos sleeps, as is the nature of sky giants. However, even Somnos must blink. Once a month does blink Somnos one time, and this one blink he stretches out over about thirty nights. This is why sometimes his eyelid looks a quarter-closed, or half-closed, or not closed at all, over the moon, which is his one eye.
If you look closely, you can see that Somnos has so many, many eyes inside this one big eye. An eye, each to each, has Somnos to watch over the creatures of every city, every town, across the whole of Planet Fait. As Somnos' great sleeping chest goes up and down with each silent breath, he shakes the sylvas asleep atop his chest, and they sprinkle their sylva dust down to all the sleeping creatures across Planet Fait, which causes dreams. When the dreams are used-up, peoples' bodies emit this sylva dust through our eyes, which is why we wake with crusty yellow dust in the corners of our eyes.
In the morning, Somnos wakes, and slowly unfurls his big black cape from over the front of his body, to hang off behind him again. As he does this, the sylvas wake, stretch out their colors, and fly off back throughout the world, and this is the sunrise.
