Char woke up to the drizzling of rain on her face and her cousin's high pitched voice.

"Hey wake up sleepy head," Delilah elucidated, sprinkling water on Char's face.

"Not again," char groaned and sat up straight before screaming a earsplitting sound.

"Hey, why the noise," Delilah queried covering her ears and staring unbelievably at her cousin turned sister.

"What on Jupiter did you do to my room, clothes, floor, window and blue walls," char probed menacingly ready to pounce on Del any minute.

"What do you mean," Del interrogated looking around innocently and pretending not to understand what she meant.

"I'm sorry, it was a mistake perhaps while I was sprinkling water on you it mistakenly splashed everywhere," Del confessed pouting childishly.

"Why must you drizzle water on me to wake me up, can't you just tap me," char mumbled.

"You have got to be kidding me, have you seen yourself sleeping like a log of wood, no amount of tapping can wake you up," Del exclaimed throwing her hands in the air dramatically.

"Stop exaggerating, I sleep like a baby," Char retorted sticking her tongue at Del.

"In your wildest dream woman," Del reiterated.

"Either ways, I apologize, I will try tapping you with iron rod next time."Del divulged opening Char's window for sunlight to brighten the room before finally settling on Char's bed.

"By the way mom has left for the market to get foodstuffs, and the breakfast is on the table so hurry and take a bath so we can eat,"Del reported as she repeatedly tapped her feet on the cemented floor.

"Fine, just leave my room, I will come and join you soon."Char stated while stretching her hands and yawning.

Char watched her cousin stand up from her bed and shut her door.

Delilah is aunt Daphne's daughter.

Daphne gave birth to other children but they were unfortunately snatched by death.

Some of them died by catching flu, some were stillbirth and stillborns.

Delilah is the only child she gave birth to and lived till present.

She was and still is a blessing to aunt Daphne's life.

Daphne's husband is a drunk, womanizer, and a woman beater.

He used to beat Daphne up at the slightest thing, he is a disgusting and mean bully.

The last straw that broke the Camel's back was when he attempted rape on a neighbour's five year old girl.

He was charged guilty and died by electrocution.

The shame was too much for Daphne, so she packed her things with her only daughter and moved out of their matrimonial home.

Ever since then, Daphne has being a single mother, she worked her ass off by farming and trading on the one plot of land she inherited from her father.

Daphne can also be considered as an illiterate, but she tries her best to improve herself by reading books.

Her daughter and niece are equally not left out, they schooled in the public school.
