The kingdom was preparing for another attack, another capturing of their indigene whom happens to be a kid.

Guards were assigned in every dimension of the kingdom, and the house, a kid was supposed to be kidnapped from was heavily guarded.

Preventive measures were all taken, but they failed woefully and tremendously.

Charlotte could feel and perceive the presence of dark magic and evil in the kingdom, and anticipated what will happen.

The guards that were assigned to protect and monitor the house slept off, ten huge guards slept off at the same time, how illogical??

The household slept off leaving Baby Mirabel to the Mercy of God.

All the same, the baby was abducted and the whole Empire of Achaemenid has been thrown into pandemonium.

The king has pronounced the Guards that slept off, guilty and he charged them with Treason.

It is a big offense for a guard to sleep off while at his post, it just tells how inefficient, irresponsible and how incapable they are for their delicate position that is meant to save life and properties.

But, Char could swear that they were all under a sleeping spell for the evil perpetrators to perpetrate their evil.

Delilah, Charlotte, and Claire has offered to go with some soldiers to the forest to search if they could find any clue to the missing children.

But, the king said he needed Claire's presence, so it was just Char, Del, and the soldiers left.

The guards tried to do last minute preparations by teaching them the basics of using swords.

Del seems to be doing well, because it wasn't her first time handling swords.

Char on the other hand, was doing so poorly that she has to try another equipment, and she seem pretty good at arrows.

They also did some little combats, but Char could not throw good punches even if her life depended on it.

So, she was taught defensive mechanisms, where she knees the opposing party on their crouch, or where she headbutt the opposing party.

Aunt Daphne had gone to the market to stock up their dwindling foodstuffs at home, before the market got shut down for safety purpose.

The whole kingdom was quiet and eerie, it was as if they were all mourning for their Kingdom, and it was a matter of time before everywhere got locked down.

They headed to the forest, marching on a single file.

The forest was eerie quiet with only the chirping sound of birds that flew above.

The thick and huge trees created a dark shade, making sunlight barely reflect.

A part of the forest was cleared and chopped off for transportation purpose, meaning people can only pass through in single file on one path.
