"The Love of an Engineer"
So many times I've tried, my dear
To simplify the way I feel
I wonder how I can express in words
This strange feelings deep inside.
I tried physics and calculus
To evaluate these crazy thoughts
I tried geometry and chemistry
But the unknown increased by three!
I graphed it on the drawing board
Trying to look for its magnitude
But as I plotted its boundary
I found it more complicated that way
I tried to add them up again
But what I got was still the same.
So I subtracted it from the sum
But the difference was a negative sign
I multiplied it all over again
To see if the result were just the same,
What I got is.....well, never mind
You see, the answer's undefined!
So I used algebra and trigonometry
Of line graphs, histograms and symmetry
I managed to merge those and did I see,
Finally! The answer was....143.
