Something had woken me up. And it wasn't the nightmare. I looked over to where my door is and Emily was standing there. She saw my eyes open and smiled.
"Hey honey how have you been?" She asked. She then said "Sorry I wasn't here yesterday."
"Its okay." I replied.
"Well, if you want to get ready we can go to the mall." She said and she looked so hopeful that it was impossible for me to say no. So I didn't.
"Sure, that would be great." I said with a half smile.
Then she said something I wasn't expecting.
"Oh, and by the way you've met Henry, right?" She asked
"Yes..." I said hesitantly
"Well...his mom really wants to meet you. And she asked if she could come with us and I said that it was up to you. So, what do you think?" She asked
I nodded my head yes. And she smiled and walked out the door. And then I stood up. That was a very stupid mistake.
