I knock on her door
Even though she told me not to
I was so excited for our date
When she opened the door she was angry
Her mom came running down the hallway
I felt guilty
Did I get her in trouble
Did her mom not know?

I was wrong
Her mother smothered me
With the love I've never felt
I can't believe how many pictures she took
One of the happiest moments of my life

When we got to the car
I almost didn't  want to leave
Until I saw her eyes
Her enthralling brown eyes
I could see the autumn leaves falling
As I looked into her eyes
I couldn't stop staring at her
I just wanted to pull into a park
Push the hair out of her face
Caress her face
Bite her lip
And just cuddle
Until she had to return
For curfew

If I could return to that night and freeze time
Life would be a lot less complicated
