It was coming to end of the day, and surprisingly the boys had left her alone. July was in good spirits, she didn't know how she felt about all the popular girls coming up to her and talking to her though. She came to the conclusion that because she was wearing Zion's shirt, and one of a kind belt (as a dress), that everyone had started associating them with eachother.
She was walking out the school gates, until she jumped as someone tapped her, who the hell was jumping on the 'high-school clout train' now?
"I don't know Zion, I didn't fuck him, and I'm not popular, and I won't make you anymore popular, so can you leave me alone." She huffed out only to become wide eyed as she turned around to see that it was Zion, who was looking particularly intimidating, with no flash of emotion through his perfect features she went to run but he stopped her, grabbing her wrists.
"Thank you for not snitching...we need to talk...look I promise I won't hurt you or kill you, so c'mon." He said blankly and he practically dragged July by her now aching wrist to his car, she would've run but his frame blocked the door way so she just closed the door. She panicked as she saw his friends walked towards the car in the mirror. Her hands started to shake as she wondered how she ended up int a car with the guy who had made her life hell for the the past five years. She couldn't help sigh in relief as she noticed them walk away.
A couple of seconds later she jumped at the sound of him coming into the car, she couldn't even look at him, or talk, so she planned to look straight ahead.
"Thank you, and I'm sorry the boys did that to you this morning, but I warned you....Anyway I got you your money back." He held it out for July to take, but every time she went to grab it he snatched it out of her reach.
"I'm not done with you yet July King, I want to talk with you, strike up a deal."
She groaned slightly and went to open the car door, but found herself welling up with tears, when she realised it was locked. Zion couldn't help but smirk at her distress, she was so convinced that he would actually hurt her.
"July" he said softly.
All July could do was cry, her worst enemy, the person she feared the most, had locked her in a small space with him.
"July!" Zion practically roared, making July jump.
"Look at me." He spoke again.
She looked at him for the first time since she had been in the car.
"You do all my assignments and I'll be your...fake boyfriend."
The girl instantly shook her head 'no' she would've looked him up and down and laughed, if she wasn't so scared of him.
"Ok...So You don't want protection, power or popularity, then what do you want.?"
July looked at him and found herself looking away, as if it stung.
"Talk." He said in a ominous tone
" I don't want to talk to you, I don't want to look at you, I don't want to be anywhere near you, I want you to leave me alone. Let me go now...please."
"That's never going to happen J"
"My name is July."
"Your name is whatever I say it is, your forgetting your place, so now you'll do it for free." Zion grabbed the girls face, as he noticed his friends watching them from afar.
"Say it, say yes, I'll do it for free, I'm sorry for disrespecting you Zion."
"No."
"Ok, you better take that three hundred dollar shirt off then."
"What?"
"July please just do this, please, I don't wanna have to make you walk home in just a t-shirt, I don't wanna do that please." The boy sighed changing demeanour for a second.
Before July could even stop him, he threw her in the back seat, getting on top of her, he covered her mouth which made her panic even more. He hushed her until she calmed down.
"Listen to me, I'm not going to hurt you, I'm hiding, so my friends can't see us ok, I just want you to know I'm sorry for everything I've ever done or will do to you, but I need to pass, you need to do those assignments for me July."
"Leave me alone!"
"Fine, I'll leave you alone, I'll make sure no one bothers you...I promise."
"Really?" She breathed out shakily as she focused on stopping herself from crying.
"Yes...but we have to talk for at least twenty minutes a week. You can tell me your theories on the assignments, so I don't sound like a dumbass when I'm explaining them in class, and you can tell me if anyone is bothering you, and I'll fix it, ok?"
"Ok." The young girl answered quietly.
"You can go, just take that blue folder and look scared when you leave, I have a reputation to uphold, for now."
She climbed to the front of the car and picked up the folder putting it into her bag. She ran from that car as fast as she could as he got out and walked back round to the front seat. To say she looked 'scared' was an understatement...
