A/n: I was asked to update but I really am not sure about this part that I've just had sitting here😬😬 but here you go I guess🖤
"Boy what do you think you're doing?."
"I'm packing!" Zion replied back angrily, as he zipped his bag and put it over his head
"He's your dad! how can you be like this with him huh!" His mum replied.
"No he's not! He's fucking disgusting, and you're a stupid hoe for taking his ass back after what?...8 years. He's probably got a dozen more kids by now, you dumbass." Zion hissed his words out erratically, he'd never felt such heartbreak and betrayal in his life.
Zions mum hit him so hard across the face that he had an instant handprint mark reveal itself.
"Say that again. Nigga you the most disrespectful child I fucking know, be angry he left, but you better start accepting the fact that he's your dad."
"He's never been a dad to me." Zion glared at his mum with gritted teeth. He tried to step past his mum but she kept blocking his way. Without warning she picked up the extension cord which was the closest thing near her and started hitting Zion over and over and he couldn't dodge her, granted he did have the strength to knock his mum down but no matter how much he hated her he couldn't bring himself to do it, so he just took the beating.
"You can't keep that phone or the car that I pay for you hear me?! Get your ass out of my house. And give me my muthafucking keys!" Zion threw his car keys at her and threw his phone hard enough for it to break, before storming out. The boy didn't expect his mother to storm after him, and punch him from behind. It was just as he was about to descend the stairs and she hit him with so much force that he fell down and although he was lucky enough not to break any bones he did however hit the banister pole at the very bottom of the stairs. He fell down on the floor and blacked out for about ten seconds.
Zion woke up with a daze and blurry vision from what he assumed would now be a fresh black eye, he accepted the help up only to look up and see his dad stood in front of him. Every memory he had flashed through him as his stomach turned, he rushed out of the house slamming the door behind him, and vomiting soon after. He felt like he didn't have anywhere to go, especially since he had cut off most of his friendships. The only person that he could he could go to probably hated him right now, but she was the only person he had.
.............................................He stood at her door and knocked the door, but he made sure to keep his hood up and his head down in an attempt to hide his face.
"Hey Z what's up?" The familiar voice of Julys mum warmed his spirits and made him smile just a little bit.
"Everything." He answered as she let him in they went to her bedroom and he dropped his bags, the boy actually sat himself next to the woman who was now layed back in bed. He quickly kicked off his shoes after realising he'd left them on.
"So young man are you going to tell me what happened here?" The woman sighed slightly.
"Do I have-"
"Yes, but first your going to get some ice." The boy pouted and walked out of the room to follow the older woman's instructions, but he found himself crying, and he couldn't stop.He subconsciously began dragging his feet as he walked back into the room.
"What happened?" The woman looked at him sincerely, she didn't have the heart to tell the boy about July not coming home or going to school, amidst his own troubles."My dad came home, and my mum thinks I should be respectful towards that piece of shit, it just proves she's never believed me. It proves she doesn't love me." The boy managed to wipe his tears away and calm himself down.
"Don't you think your mum is going to be worried about her boy huh? I'm sure she loves you, some mothers have very funny ways of expressing their love. And I'm sure you can keep out of your dads way if you don't want to talk to him. Hmm?"
"Mama King you don't get it, I really can't go back. He- it doesn't matter." Zion laid himself next to the older woman and looked up at the ceiling, she was of course tucked under her cover whilst the boy laid on top of them so she grabbed the nearest blanket and covered him with it.
"I've given you a pass when it comes to everything you put my daughter through, I need to understand why you did those things, I need you to talk to me so I know just what it is you were going through. You need to talk to somebody and I'm here Z."
Zion laid with his eyes closed soaking in what Mama King had said to him, he finally made the decision to tell her, because he knew she would be more understanding than his own mother.
"On...On my birthday, when I turned six my dad did something to me, something no father should do to their child, he told me not to tell anyone, and he kept doing it, until I was almost 10. Which was when he left us." The boy rushed out his words not wanting to linger on the subject for too long.
The woman could help but sigh as she took hold of Zion's hand.
"Zion I-""Mama King I can't be in that house, with him, please let me stay here, I know I was bad to July but I tried to change, and I cut all those bad people out of my life now, I don't have anybody. Please, don't make me go home." Zion interrupted in a panic, holding on to the older woman's hand tighter.
"Shhh, come on now, you know you can stay here. Since you're of age, you could live with us if you wanted to."
"Thank you, thank you thank-"
"Zion, you know your going have to talk about everything... in detail?, I'm not forcing you but I will try to encourage you to pursue a case against your dad." The woman removed her hand from his as she rubbed it slightly, since it was aching from how tight Zion had been holding it.
"I can't I-" Zions breathe began to cut short as he began to sob.
The older woman recognised that Zion was having a panic attack and made the decision not to touch him yet, she did her best to comfort him without making him feel constricted.
"Everything is ok, you're safe here, everything is ok, breathe, just take a deep breathe." Mama King managed to bring Zion back into reality with her words. She held his hand until he hugged her tightly. The woman was surprised when she noticed Zion drifting off to sleep almost an hour after, she managed to get him to go under the covers as she got out of bed and took the blanket. She sat herself on her chair and took out a book to read.
The woman would've seemed calm to any outsider, but she was panicking inside, July hadn't come back home and it was unlike her, even the text message she had received didn't sound as if it was even her daughter, the authorities said that see would need to wait at least 48 hours. She couldn't stop thinking about July, so she ended up putting her book down and just sitting in silence.
