Anne woke up the morning after with an excited look in her eyes. Today they would be planning for the most thrilling day in a long time. She quickly stood up from her bed and went to the little window in her room. She only had one window but it was better than none, she thought.
She saw all the mixed colors that had appeared in the trees. She saw that Jerry were already on his way to the barn. She needed to speak to him before she went to school. She needed to tell him about the fall market, maybe he could take his family to it! She hurried on her school dress that she wore almost ever day and braided her signature braids and then went down to the kitchen.

Marilla and Matthew where already there and had almost ate up. Anne took a seat by the table and started to eat the porridge that Marilla hade made.

At the same time she talked she told them about today's plan at school and what she thought her and Gilbert would do.
"...and we can have a big table with all the beautiful leafs and flowers you can imagine!", she said as she made big gestures and passionate eyes.
"Oh dear child if you don't calm yourself you won't go to school today." Marilla said as she looked firmly at the girl.
Matthew chuckled and shook his head. He loved the little girl of his. The way she was so passionate about things and the way her mind worked. He couldn't imagine the boring life they had before she came, how did he survive the long days without her story's and her presence.

Anne was so excited that she didn't even eat up her breakfast before running to the door. She quickly grabbed her school bag and gave Matthew and Marilla a kiss each before Marilla could stop her. Then she ran out in the morning air. She stopped at the porch. Everything felt so fresh in the morning, she thought. The sun shined at her pale face as she smiled wide. Everything was so calming and beautiful. The horses neighed in the stable and the chickens picked on the ground. The smell of farm made her feel like home.

She ran down to the barn where Jerry was working with the hay. He had his ordinary outfit with the little straw hat. He sung a song in French, a nice and happy melody where the words floated like clouds.

"Bonjour Jerry, aren't you happy at a day like this?" Anne said. Jerry had taught her some easy phrases in French as she taught him to read and write.
He stopped his singing and looked up to the redheaded girl.
"Bonjour Anne, I am actually pretty happy today. What is my, as you say, "kindred spirit" doing here, is there something you want?"
"Actually I came to tell you that in a couple days there's going to be a fall market here in Avonlea and all the kids in school are going to prepare it! Isn't that so exiting! I hoped that you and your family could come to it."
"Well i can't say no to it, can I?" Jerry said with a smile on his face.
"You can but I think that you wouldn't want to miss it, it's going to be so much fun!"
"Then I'm sure coming, I promise!"
"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you Jerry!" Anne said as she ran and hugged him.
Jerry were like a big brother to her and she always wanted the best for the annoying boy. She thanked him again and ran outside.

She took the shortcut through the woods so she would get to school in time to prepare. The leafs rustled in the wind and some of them fell slowly down. Some of the sunbeams shined behind the trees and the woods looked like it were in gold. She felt like in any moment a little dwarf would come walking by and some trolls would tell her good evening. She laughed at her thought and went on.
The early birds sung still today. That made her think of Diana. She had totally forgotten about her. It was already to late to go back because she could see the school in the distance. Well, she thought, she can go by herself because she is a very independent woman even tough her mother don't approve. Diana's mother were very formal of her and Diana always tried to reach for the more futuristic world. Anne was proud of her dearest friend, she made her heart bloom.
