I just love writing about my man and his man

Joshua Hong did not believe in the ideas of soulmates.

The idea of being tied down to one person by fate seemed cruel and unusual to him.

Lee Seokmin on the other hand, did.

He loved the idea of someone being out there that was just prefect for you, just waiting for you to find them.

Joshua Hong and Lee Seokmin were complete opposites. Joshua was quiet and shy and loved rain falling on the window has he read a book. Seokmin was loud and outgoing and was the sunshine through the leaves in your favorite park.

Yet, those differences didn't stop them from being best friends. Everyone around them was surprised by how close the two were, everyone expect them. They rounded each other out. Their relationship was balanced.

When you turn 18 a symbol is supposed to appear on your hand. A symbol that represented your soulmate.

Joshua was not as nearly excited for his birthday as Seokmin was. Truth be told he was dreading it. He didn't want to find his soulmate, he was already in head-over-heels in love with his best friend anyways.

Seokmin however was excited for Joshua's birthday. He had everything planned out. They would have a sleepover and stay up till midnight so they could see Joshua's mark appear on his hand together. Joshua agreed only because he liked spending time with Seokmin.

"Ready for tonight Shua?" Seokmin said as the pair walked out of school.

"Yeah I guess" Joshua said sheepishly.

"Come on, Shua. I know you don't like all this soulmate stuff but it's kinda exciting"

"Whatever you say Seok."

Several hours later they were at Joshua's house, sitting on the roof, waiting for midnight to come. They spent the night talking about random things like they always did. Before they knew it was 11:59. They both watched intently has they waited for the clock to strike 12:00.

And it did.

And has it did the back of Joshua's left hand started to glow. Seokmin and Joshua both turned away as the light was blinding. When when the light subsided they both starred at Joshua's newly formed soulmate mark.

It was a sunflower. Its petals stretched so far they almost reached Joshua's fingers.

"It's beautiful Shua"

Joshua shrugged. "I guess it is."

It glowed in the darkness. Seokmin found himself tracing the flower with this fingers. Joshua was thankful that it was dark so Seokmin couldn't see the blush that had formed on his cheeks.

The next day at school everyone was curious to see what Joshua's mark looked like. He didn't mind showing it to everyone, he just hated being the center of attention. Seokmin by lunch and saved him, taking him to their secret spot by the library. Joshua was never more thankful for Seokmin's friendship.

"How are you feeling Joshua?" Seokmin asked settling himself under a tree

"Not really sure." Joshua shrugged "Nothing feels like its changed, but everything feels different. Ya know?"

Seokmin shook his head. "Not really to be honest but I get it."

The both smiled and laughed. Seokmin reached over and stole a piece of whatever Joshua was eating. "Anyways I guess I'm excited to get that feeling too."
