I decided I would try third person view for this chapter and the next since it was recommended.

Ruby's POV

When Ruby finished crossing the crowd of hands and screams, she stepped her foot on the train and walked in. Not long after she boarded, the train started and moved forward.

Right behind her was the male tribute waving, proudly to all the people. He had an evil glare and piercing grimace look to him.

A tall, slender figure entered the room with a prestigious air about her.

"Well, my two beautiful tributes you have been picked for the greatest honor of all..." said Demtriss.

"You mean for the capitol to watch us die painfully." He interrupted.

Ruby stood quietly in the corner keeping all her emotions balled up inside her.

"Resistance will get you nowhere young man. Now anyways as I was going to say it will take us a few hours even though this train goes over 200 miles per hour to get to the Capital, so enjoy the food and luxurious rooms as much as you want. Ruby your room is down there and Sharon your room is over there. I suggest you take this time to use our facilities while you still can. Don't forget dinner will be in a few hours and will be the best thing you will ever see. When we get to the Capital, I will escort you to your floor and rooms after the parade. Your mentor will come out and help you with any of your questions. Bye Bye."

With that, the presumptuous lady strutted out of the room leaving the two alone. Ruby was met with the same hard eyes as her eyes shone, piercing her inner being. It wasn't long until the door was thrust open in marching a middle age woman.

"What do you want. Let us get these over so I can leave." she commanded with arrogance. "The names Miora." The lady must have been their mentor because who else besides servants would be on the train

She walked over and started examining her two students from head to toe noting their physical properties.

After she finished, she walked over and sat at a chair by a table. It was Sharon who spoke up next, "So what are some good survival tips." She glared at him hinting that it was a stupid question.

"That is what they all say before they die in the area," she replied.

"Well, how did you win?" he asked, a hint of frustration in his voice.

"I just got lucky, my year was all younger kids that died fast, the careers got in a fight with each other killing themselves in the process. So, there wasn't much too it. It doesn't look like you guys are as lucky this time."

"Why.." he continued, but Ruby started to stop listening anymore. All this talk about people dying and people killing each other bought the reality of the actual situation. She felt sick to her stomach and could feel vomit rising in her throat.

"Now remember the Capital is watching your every move and every action could be used against you. So, try to keep your head up, and not make rude comments," she directed her gaze at Sharon, "And don't look like your dying even if you are." It was obvious who that was directed at. No one could have said it better, she felt like she was dying and before too long she probably was.

"It's the truth get over it if you want to win you have to not let ANYTHING bother you or get in you path. This is all about you and keep that way. I would say Ruby doesn't have much of a chance but Sharon you, on the other hand, have potential. You just have to learn how to use," she bluntly said.

It felt like a she was in a cramped room with a storm and noise thundering in on her echoing 'you have no chance, you have no chance'. Ruby felt utterly alone even if there were two other people around her. How she wished this had never happened how she wished it was just a dream or even a nightmare.
