NOTE: Ciel's nine years old. M'kay? Good.
I lay on the couch in the middle of the living room. Stella, my cat, was plopped on-top my stomach sleeping soundly. A bag of chips was next to me and I lazily switched channels.
Ciel's soft footsteps told me he was running down the stairs...again.
"Ciel!" I yelled. "Don't run down the stairs, you'll get hurt!"
Ciel ran up to me. "Sorry Seb...it's just...I can't find Peter!"
Huh? Peter was Ciel's stuffed rabbit which he loved with all his might. He'd had that dumb animal since birth and never let it out of his sight since. Only to go to school of course.
"Ciel I bet he's in your room. Go look for it." As much as I love my little brother, I don't actually feel like looking for the stupid thing.
"I already looked for him! He's not there..."
I sighed. "My room then, you probably left it th-"
"No Seb! He's not there either!"
I frowned and sighing, I got up to help Ciel look for Peter.

Not in the closet. Not in the dryer. Not in the cupboards. Not in the kitchen. Peter was nowhere to be found. I sighed. "I'll call Grell to see if she's seen it." Ciel only nodded and sat down on the couch.
I pulled out my phone and quickly dialed Grell's cellphone:
"Hey Grell!"
"Hi'ya Bass!" She replied in her usual cheery tone.
"Hey...so have you seen Peter? Ciel's stuffed rabbit, anywhere around your place?"
She went quiet for a moment before answering: "Hmm, no. I haven't seen Peter since you guys came over last weekend but I'm pretty sure Ciel took it home then."
I sighed. "Okay then...thanks again."
She yawned. "Don't worry Bassy, you'll find Peter soon."
We said goodbye and I hung up.
I sighed my way back to Ciel: "Grell says she hasn't seen it."
Ciel's frown only grew bigger.
"Ciel, are you sure you didn't take it to school?"
He went quiet for a moment before he looked back at me with his big blue eyes. His lower lip was quivering and he sniffled slightly.
Oh no.
I knew that face all to well, it was his: I-disobeyed-you-don't-kill-me-I'm-sorry face. He'd definitely taken that rabbit to school.
"You took it to school, didn't you Ciel?" I raised one eye-brow at him.
"I'm sorry." He whispered.
I facepalmed. It was Saturday, he'd have to wait until Monday to get it back. "Ciel, you'll have to wait until Monday. I'm sorry."
He began to sniffle. "B-But...-"
Ciel never really finished that sentence, instead he began to sob uncontrollably.Shit. Shit. Shit. Crying Ciel was not the best, usually when he cried the only ones to calm him where Mum or Aunt Ann and sometimes...Grell, but I had no idea what to do to make him stop crying.
"L-look Ciel, if I go get you another toy will you stop crying? O-Or maybe if I get you candy? Do you want some candy?"
"I-I want Peter..."
I grunted. "Ciel, I can't get Peter right now, but I'll get you something, okay? Just...let me call Grell."
I called Grell again. "Grell, I need you to come over and babysit Ciel for an hour or two, I'll explain when you get here."
