Hi all! As you can see I am uploading the chapters pretty quick, that's cause I already have these all written so yeah. Btw, the pic in the front is what Rhea looks like in her waitress outfit. Enjoy!

As soon as he walked into the cafe, she felt as if her heart was going to jump out of her chest. Once he saw her, he felt as if the stars had aligned in that exact moment for the two. At first, they both had just stared at each other not knowing what to say or do. The young waitress pleaded that another customer would walk through the same two doors or one would ask for another cup of coffee so that she could make her escape and someone else would have to serve him. Alas, her prayers were not answered and she had to sit the man down.

"Good morning....Kyle, what can I get for you today?" The waitress said, taking account of his name but using the same line she used with every other customer at the cafe. As she looked down to grab her notepad, his eyes couldn't stop tracing her face. Of course, her face had changed so much since they last saw each other at graduation, but, it still had that same glow that it always did. How times have changed from when their only problems were who was with who and to turn homework in on time.

"Um...I'd like to have a cup of coffee and a bagel please, Rhea." For the young waitress, listening to him say her name again after the longest time, brought back so many unwanted memories of them in school that made her want to run away even more. She quickly nodded before excusing herself and gracefully dashed away to put in the order. Before long, she was bringing back the order to his table.

She was so distracted, she didn't seem to notice his long lean leg positioned at the front of the table. She did, in fact, notice when she tripped on it and was about to fall onto the hard floor. The next thing Rhea knew, Kyle was holding her by the waist and pulled her to him, with her eventually landing on his lap. Neither of them heard, of course, the coffee mug breaking next to them. It was strange, but for the two, it felt the slightest bit comforting; remembering the hatred between them as kids, for him to stop her from falling face first on the cold hard floor. It was indeed a bittersweet emotion.

He sat there stunned and unaware of how to react. She was blushing insanely and seeing that somehow brought a smirk to his face. They sat there staring at each other, much like they did when he first walked inside the cafe. Everything just seemed to stand still for the two. Her body and mind were fighting intensely for her to stay in his comforting embrace or to do what she's being paid to do. Her mind was made up for her when of course, someone they both knew walked through the cafe.

"Rhea, you will not believe the day I've-" The voice of both Kyle and Rhea's old classmate stopped short as she saw the scene in front of her. "Rhea! I didn't know you had a boyfriend! And it's Kyle, hi Kyle! It's about time!" Hearing her old friend say her name, Rhea's face turned an even darker shade of red if even possible. "Oh, Nicole! We're supposed to meet at 3:40 aren't we?" Rhea said being slightly disappointed that she would have to leave the comfort of her spot on Kyle's lap. "I don't know what planet you're on, it is 3:40." Nicole said with a smirk, partially knowing what her friend was thinking.

"We are not here to sit on our customer's laps!" The manager said in passing with a small smile. Knowing both Rhea and Kyle, he was glad that the two had been brought together; somewhat, in one way or another.

Quickly Rhea leaped off, embarrassed and flustered as she smoothed down her apron. After peering back at Kyle one last time, she quickly ran off to the back of the cafe to get some air with Nicole trailing close behind.

The whole interaction was the definition of strange. Both had enjoyed the comfort but were still nonetheless embarrassed. Rhea only had to work for another half hour for her shift before she could leave. So, she kept herself busy so she that she only had to look at him when he asked for more coffee after she brought his order for him again. Nicole and the manager had been watching the pair since they arrived at the scene, with smiles never fading from their faces. "Who would have thought these two would meet after so long?" Nicole said with warm and happy eyes for her friend. A smirk worked its way up to the manager's face as he recalled his first interaction with Kyle. "He walked in a few days ago when Rhea wasn't working and saw her name tag on her apron on one of the hooks. He asked me if it was Hart and he explained to me that it was the same girl he went to school with. I I think he came today on purpose, somehow he found out what days she works." The manager finished with a knowing smile as Nicole caught on to what he was implying.

"We should head out." Nicole said to Rhea, who was trying her hardest to focus on work and not the man sitting in the same seat she left him in. "O-ok, yeah. Where are we going again?" It was somewhat typical for Rhea to forget things. Her keys, phone, what day it was, even her birthday sometimes. "Good to know it's still you in there. We're going to go to your sister's bridal shower because she's getting married to Jack Peters, remember!" Rhea's sister, Catherine was by far the favored child in the family. She had her own business, a lot of money, and most importantly a fiancé. Rhea knew that she would too have those things, maybe even soon.

"Oh yeah, I-I'll meet you in the car. I just want to do one more thing really fast." A small blush awoke onto her face as she thought about who she needed to talk to. "Ok...have fun!" Nicole said laughing as she exited the cafe. Slowly Rhea made her way over to the man sitting near the front of the cafe.

As she made her way over, she thought about their last conversation before they parted ways in high school. It was just a simple 'good luck' and 'goodbye' but they had no way of knowing that they would see each other again.

"Hey, just want to say I'm leaving for the day...."

"It was nice to see you again, after so long. Hey, do you still play the trumpet?" Kyle asked suddenly getting an idea. "Yeah, do you still play drums?" The two had both been in the school band together since elementary school, and both of them had been pretty good for their ages. "All the time, anyway, a couple of friends and I are doing a gig for our band. We're looking for a trumpet player and now that I've seen you, maybe you could do it? Only if you want to that is." Kyle said, a bit nervous about her answer. "Really? Wow, I would love to! Here's my number so you can text me the information. I really have to go but, it was really nice seeing you again." The mere thought of leaving him again was somewhat saddening but, it needed to be done for her sister. "Yeah sure, goodbye Rhea."

"Goodbye Kyle."
