"Are you with me?"

I stared back into my partner's eyes, the determination being clouded over by fear of what could happen.

"Jungkook, you have to go alone," I said, my voice cracking at the end.

"I said, are you with me?" He repeated, his eyes telling what he really meant.

"Always," I replied. He turned away, walking to the edge of the waterfall, the edge of what could be his death.

"Kookie, wait," I said, grabbing ahold of his wrist.

"What?" He asked, his tone angry.

"I... never mind."

"What is it, Y/N?"

"It's nothing, Jungkook."

"WHAT IS IT?" He shouted, his voice echoing off the walls of the cave.

"It's nothing!" I yelled, my voice cracking as my vision blurred. "Just like me," I whispered.

"Listen to me, Y/N. You are a lot of things, but nothing isn't one of them. I don't want you ever to say that again. You are something. To me, to your father, to your kingdom."

"Kookie," I smiled, placing my forehead against his, "go beat the living shit out of what ever's behind there," I laughed.

"I'll be back, I swear. And if I'm not, then I'm always with you."

With that, he turned away, walking towards the edge of the waterfall. Before I knew it, he had jumped through to the other side, to the hell that even his mother, the queen of Atlantis, couldn't beat.

Jungkook's POV

I dove through the water, seeing the flashing golden trident sitting in the hands of the corpse of the first king of Atlantis. I sped through the water, but before I could take it and run, I heard a loud, terrifying voice.

"You think you are the one who can take this, half blood?"

A huge, spiky, demonic-looking creature swam up to me, its tail whipping around, blocking me from the trident.

"You're nothing, you can't do this."

Its large, spiny head sank down, nearly crushing me, but I brought my hand up and stopped it. "I may not be full Atlantian, I may not be a king, but you best believe I'm not nothing. I have never been nothing. I will never be nothing."

"You, you're a brave one. We'll see if the trident chose you. If not, then, well, say bye bye." The tail of the creature moved slowly out of the way, giving me a clear path to the golden trident.

Swimming up to it, my heart pounded a mile a minute, thinking of everything this creature could do to me if I wasn't the one. But you are, a soft, smooth voice said in my head.
Y/N.

I placed my hands on the trident and it slid out of the corpse's grip easily, leaving the creature and I stunned. I felt the power surge through my very being, the feeling of, well, I never really knew.

"Good job, chosen one." I swam back to the waterfall, the entrance to the surface world where Y/N was waiting for me. I held the trident out in front of me, so it would peek through the water before I did. Swimming up to the entrance, I felt my hand come in contact with the cold surface air.

"Who's your king now, baby?" I yelled, my voice echoing through the cave as I laughed in victory.

"Jungkook!" Y/N's voice said, bring a smile to my face as I felt her arms wrap around me.
