Takuma Ichijou x Reader - Platonic - For now
"...and that is how you get the business loss and profit. See? It's not so bad nor hard isn't it?"
Your substitute professor in business math happily exclaimed to you and your block-mates as he finishes up his lecture for the hour. You glanced around the room saw some familiar faces nod their heads while others, particularly the ones at the back, faked attention. Cross-sensei was not born yesterday and already knew the antics of his students so he just sighed and smiled as he dismisses the ever attentive class. Everyone prepared to leave and go to their next class except you.
"Dia-nee please go on without me, I have to talk to Cross-sensei for a while. Please inform Mrs. Hana for me. Please~" you informed your block-mate.
''Mhmm. Sure baby but don't take too long or you might miss a pop quiz if there will be any. Okay?"
"Hai~" You went to your professor and asked if he has time to discuss your two-week absence and what has happened in between and will happen after.
"Cross-sensei thank you for your time!" Smiling towards him as he agreed, you followed him to the office.
"It's for your grades and I want to help and it is also my duty to see how my lovely students are doing~!" You both sat down facing each other and you watched as he pulled out a record book from one of his drawers on his table. He scanned it for a while, looking for your family name. Humming all the while as he does so.
"You are one of the decent students in your block and one of those who actually gives attention to my lectures, whenever I do teach, which I am grateful for and to tell you bluntly your grades are fine up to date. Because of your two week absence, you missed lectures and quizzes aside some long tests too! Although, it's not your fault to be hospitalized too... I do not want you to stress out too much because of cramming right now... but exams are in a month and I worry for your health so... I have an idea." He smiled at you gently, his youthful appearance making him even more unearthly.
'This school is so strange... not that it's bad... but when had I ever encounter a school with a gorgeous headmaster who sometimes teaches in the absence of his staff and equally gorgeous schoolmates? Even if they are in another curriculum than mine.... I can never recall a time where I was able to take any class with any of them...Yeah, never at all. Its almost like I'm in a fictional manga... It feels so surreal... the only things that keep me grounded are my responsibilities and school homework.'
Knowing that your sensei for the time being, but always your headmaster, keeps good intentions in mind, you listened.
"What would your idea be Cross-sensei?"
"Well, as you are one of the few who are not-"
"Headmaster these are the reports for this week and I also brought the shares of Kaname for...you."
The intruder, tall and lean, was one of the night class students and was one of the schoolmates you were mentioning before. Ichijou Takuma was his name if you remember correctly. Vice-president of the mentioned class and one of the nicest lads around. An example of a gentleman. Or so you've heard from your block-mates.
"I'm sorry. I should have paid more attention before entering...." he seemed sheepish at the least.
"Ah. Takuma-kun! It's okay. It's okay. Please have a seat." The sandy haired bespectacled man gestured to the seat adjacent you and chirped happily. Waving what happened earlier like it was a conversation of yesterday as he seemingly forgot what he was supposed to say.
