It was Beca's final year of high school and she was on the home stretch - a few more weeks and she'd graduate. It was kind of surreal that she'd be finishing high school but she was happy. She was done with learning and wanted to go to L.A to pursue a music career. Her father was proud that her daughter had a dream and he supported her, however, there was a catch. Beca's father would only pay for her to go over to L.A to pursue her dreams if she did one year of college. Beca thought the proposal was outrageous but for her father to pay for her to go over, she couldn't pass that up so she, reluctantly, agreed to go to college for a year.

Chloe was over the moon when Beca agreed to go to college. The redhead was quite heartbroken when Beca told her of her dreams to move to L.A. It wasn't that Chloe wasn't happy for her best friend because she was. She was upset because it meant that Beca would be away from her and Chloe didn't want Beca to be away from her because Chloe had a raging crush on her best friend and had one ever since she pecked Beca's lips a few years ago. Beca also had a raging crush on Chloe and she was the only thing that made Beca stop and think about her decision to go to L.A, which made the decision to go to college a bit easier since it'd be another year that she'd be with Chloe.

Ever since that kiss, the two girls' feelings for each other skyrocketed and they were crazy about one another but they were too scared to do anything about it. There were numerous times where both of them were tempted to make a move but high school wasn't the friendliest of places and there were a few kids who got picked on and got bullied rather badly because of their sexuality. Beca and Chloe didn't want that for each other so they decided to keep their feelings hidden and just continue on as best friends. However, their senior year was coming to an end and they had no reason to hide away their feelings anymore. The thought of confessing their feelings to one another was scary but it was something they both thought of doing for a long time.

To celebrate the end of their high school days, Aubrey, Stacie, Chloe, and Beca decided to go to the movies to see some sappy romance flick. Beca strongly didn't want to go but as always, Chloe managed to pull the brunette along. Beca hated herself for always giving in to Chloe but she knew she couldn't help it. She was crazy about her best friend and no just wasn't an answer. If Chloe said jump Beca would have asked how high. That's how much power Chloe had over the brunette.

"Okay, gummy bears for Stacie, popcorn for Aubrey, ice cream for me, and a Snickers for Beca," Chloe said as she gave everyone their movie snacks.

"Thanks, Chlo," Beca nodded when she got her chocolate bar.

"You're welcome." Chloe smiled then settled down in her seat and began eating her ice cream as the movie started.

Beca was trying her hardest not to fall asleep as she had done many times before. Beca hated movies, especially hated romance ones. They were so predictable and Beca couldn't see why people enjoyed them. The brunette was bored out of her mind while the people in the movie theatre gently sobbed as they watched the screen. Beca rolled her eyes and shifted in her seat, only to realise that Chloe was crying, too. The brunette froze and discreetly looked past Chloe to see Aubrey sobbing into Stacie's shoulder. Stacie held a protective arm around the blonde and gently kissed her head. Even though Aubrey and Stacie argued a fair bit, they were both crazy about each other and had been dating for a good year now. They never showed affection at school due to the bullying but outside of school and in the confines of their own home and in their friends home, they were a happy, lovey-dovey couple.

Beca looked around the rest of the theatre and saw other couples holding each other. Beca felt a little awkward. Even though she and Chloe weren't a couple, they acted like one. They did everything together and they were pretty much in a relationship together without the romance. Beca looked at Chloe who had tears rolling down her cheeks and it broke Beca's heart. Even though Chloe wasn't hurt, she was upset by the movie. So, taking a nervous breath and questioning what the Hell she was doing, Beca extended her arm and put it around Chloe. The redhead automatically leaned into Beca's side and sobbed. Beca gently rubbed her hand along Chloe's arm and decided to take it up a notch and plant the softest of kisses on top of the girl's head.

Beca held her breath, hoping what she did was alright until Chloe sat up and looked into Beca's eyes. The brunette gulped, her heart racing a million miles an hour until Chloe leaned in and put her lips on Beca's. Beca didn't do anything until Chloe began to move her lips gently, making Beca snap out of her daze and reciprocate. It was a soft and gentle kiss but there was so much emotion in it, it was unreal. Beca wasn't aware of her hands sliding onto Chloe's waist while one of Chloe's hands found its way into Beca's hair as the other rested on her cheek. It was as if the world around them didn't exist anymore and it was just them. Their minds were blank with the only thing important being kissing.

Chloe decided to take it up a notch and roll her tongue across Beca's bottom lip. The girl whimpered, having no idea where the sound came from but it made Chloe smile and kiss Beca a little harder. Beca felt like she was going to pass out. She was so hot on the inside and out she felt like she was going to burn through her seat. She was kissing Chloe Beale - her best friend and she loved it. She loved every moment of it and was disheartened when Chloe broke away. The two best friends looked at each other with flushed faces then ended up having a small giggle.

"That was nice," Chloe whispered.

"Y, yeah... It, it was..." Beca agreed.

Chloe beamed at her best friend then leaned in and gave her a gentle peck before nestling back into Beca's side with Beca's arm around her. Unbeknown to them, Stacie and Aubrey watched the whole encounter and smiled at each other when it ended. They knew it was only a matter of time before their friends made a move.
