Droplets of rain dotted my raincoat as I walked with Kayden home. I had gotten 4 books at the library. One graphic novel out of a set I have been reading, a fantasy book that I found interesting, a history book about the American Revolution, and finally a book told by the perspective of a queen. I'll probably finish them by the end of the week.

Kayden leads the way down the sidewalk to our house. Even in the rain his eyes have a joyful glow. Everyone knows he has a crush on Victoria.

I've been reading for a few hours now. It's 2am and I know I should sleep but I don't want to. In the silence of my room my phone goes off. Closing the book I get to my tired feet and walk to my phone. It's Megan and she has texted me.

After school tomorrow
come to my house.
I need to talk to you.

I give a confused look at the message and text back quickly.

You can't tell me
at school?

No. Just come over
tomorrow.

Being to tired to argue I shut off my phone, cross my room, and collapse on my bed. I shut of the lamp next to my bed and close my eyes.
