Pandora's Curse

prologue

Prologue:

I was only supposed to be going for a nightly walk through the woods but as soon as I heard the growling behind me, I ran.

As I ran I was surrounded by the crunching sound of the dry Autumn leaves beneath my feet and the heavy pants that were my breath. The thought of not knowing what was behind me, I continued to run. The growling was getting louder now followed by the sound of the unknown creatures feet hitting the ground, not knowing what was chasing me and my fear increasing, I picked up my pace.

I could see the streetlights through the cracks in the trees. But before I could reach the edge of the woods my feet gave out causing me to fall to the ground, the next thing I knew the creature i believed to be a wolf ran for me but however the wolf did not attack.

Instead it was staring right at me, its bright eyes shining in the dark. They were beautiful. I was lost in the wolf's stare, it was so intense that it send shivers down my spine and right through my body. It felt unlike anything that I had ever felt, It was like it was awaking something inside of me just by looking at me. And I wasn't frightened, but excited.

The wolf let out a soft growl before stepping away from me. I sat up and followed its stare. It took a few paces back before throwing its head up and letting in out a very loud howl. Than it transferred into a young man, the man was now standing stark naked in the dead of the night.

He went down on one knee and bowed his head just as he did this, four other wolves emerged from behind the tree. They stood behind him.

The wolves behind him stood in a stance looking like they were about to attack but instead of attacking they bowed there head down, just like the man before me.

Then the man lifted his head up and once again I was lost in eyes made of gold. But the howl that came behind me pulled me out of my thoughts.

And that's when it finally sunk in. standing in front of me was five werewolves, who were all bowing down in front of me.
