Myles

Soon after we entered the restaurant, we were shown to our table.

Harper sat next to Lily, across from me, while Ivy sat next to me and across from Lily.

All of us were looking over the menu when Lily leaned over to Harper and not so quietly whispered, "I got to go potty."

Harper looked in my direction with a sheepish expression, "Is it ok if I take her to the restroom?" I looked at her confused. She was soon to be doing the same thing with our child, why would she have to ask to take my sister to the restroom? "Of course," I said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Harper gave me a wide smile, then looked back at my sister. Lily turned in her chair where she was facing Harper and reached her hands out signaling that she wanted to be picked up.

Harper gave her a hesitant look before carefully lifting Lily, and placing her on her hip. Lily wrapped her small arms lightly around Harper's neck.

"Hey what do you guys want to drink in case the waitress comes back?" I asked them before they get too far.

"Pepsi!" Lily said with enthusiasm. Harper chuckled and then turned to me, "A lemonade is fine."

I nodded my head, they then turned back around heading towards the restroom.

I turn towards Ivy who was still looking in the direction Harper and Lily had gone.

"How long?"

She turned towards me,"How long what?" she asked.

"How long has he been staying at the house?" I questioned her trying not to let my anger show.

She sighed, her eyes glancing at the floor, "Almost two weeks," she muttered.

Before I could reply the waitress walked over to get our drink orders.

After she left I went to say more to Ivy, but then I saw Harper and Lily walking out of the restroom. Lily was once again in Harper's arms.

They were laughing about something when Lily leaned into Harper and gave her a soft kiss on the cheek and then a tight hug. Harper looked surprised, but then placed her arm that wasn't keeping Lily up around her, closing her eyes and rubbing Lily's back gently.

My heart clenched at the sight, and I remember the erratic sound of our baby's heart. That's how I imagine mine sounds like right now.

Lily let go and Harper sat her back on her feet, grabbing Lily's hand, before heading our way again.

Ivy dropped her head, "I like her."

"Me too."

Harper and Lily took their places in their seats, looking over their menus.

After I took the girls home, I then took Harper home as well.

When I got back to my apartment. I took out my phone and called my mother.

The phone stopped ringing, "...Hello?" answered my mom hesitantly.

"What were you thinking?" I almost yelled into the phone. "You can't keep going back to him mom, he cheated on you. He's cheated on you so many times and every single time you take him back," I said a little more softer.
