"NATHAN GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE NOW! WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" I shouted at him.
"SORRY! JUST ADJUSTING MY FRINGE!" he shouted back. I rolled my eyes. Nathan and I had been bestfriends since we were in diapers and we were inseparable. We both used to babysit Jess when she was little! It was really fun! But now Jess was twelve and she didn't need it.
"Nathan Mum told me to give this to you," I heard Jess say. Nathan mumbled a thank you and ran down the stairs he grabbed his school bag and shoes in the process.
"Finally!" I sighed and we ran the way towards school.

Nathan and I trudged back home through the rain. My hair was was soaked and so were my clothes and my school bag.
"Look there's shelter! Let's stay there for a bit till the rain calms down," Nathan pointed to a bus stop which had no people around. I agreed and we ran under it. I dried as much as my hair with my jumper which was no point because that was wet. We waited for about five minutes and the rain still hadn't died down.
"Look there's know use waiting because dinner is in half an hour and it takes us about that long to get home so lets just make a run for it Orlagh!" Nathan said. I nodded and he grabbed my hand and we ran, laughing at what we would look like from another person's point of view, probably like two idiots!
We stopped for a minute to get our breath back and I looked at Nathan who looked back. Gosh he's so beautiful! I've never noticed it but now that I'm looking properly at him I can, mmm his eyes, they're just gorgeous! I thought. I looked up and now it was hardly raining just spitting.
"Earth to Orlagh!" Nathan waved a hand in front of my face snapping me out of my thoughts. I smiled at him.
Suddenly he was so close that our noses were nearly touching. This was a perfect moment for me to go in and kiss him but I didn't in case he didn't want what I wanted. But he answered that by slowly leaning in and pressing his lips on mine, I didn't know what to do but kiss him back, his lips were so soft and fitted perfectly on mine. We started moving in sync and then he pulled away.
"I think we should be getting back," he murmured.
"Yeah," I agreed.
"Oi Orlagh. You're gorgeous and don't ever think you're not because you are!" he said and he grabbed my hand bringing me close. He wrapped his arm around my waist and we walked together.
