The public education system was anything but perfect. In all honesty, it was one of the most infuriating places to ever be. Especially when your parents were constantly called over every little minor accident, yet never really present for parent teacher conferences that just so happened to be scheduled yet never announced.

Thankfully for Este, she never had to deal with parent teacher conferences. Her mother was dead, her father was a very absent Greek God. If she had a parent teacher meeting, they were missed. Which went unnoticed by Forks High School due to the fact they never announced that they were having parent-teacher conferences. So there were never any red flags raised by Angelica Devereaux attending to speak. Then again, the entire town knew she was dead. So luckily they weren't waiting for Hades (whom they did not know even existed) to show up and play Daddy of the year.

If there was one thing about Coach Clapp's PE class that caused Este to want to ram her head into the cinder block walls over and over again, it was the now rapid appearance of different members of the Cullen family. The first day of this class? It was just Rosalie Hale. Now, some time later, Alice Cullen had apparently transferred into the class after she'd missed some time with her boyfriend. Not just that, Edward Cullen was also creeping in the corner when he should be in class himself.

The conversation between Este and Alice was causing the blue-eyed girl to want to crawl into a hole and just stay there. She wasn't a fan of the feeling that coursed through her whenever any of the Cullens were near. There was only so much death that she could take and the family was really pushing her limits.
