Y/N POV
To say I was terrified was an understatement, after 18 years of your life being lied to and you finally figure out that the one person you've always wished for isn't actually dead is quite terrifying if you ask me.
What did he want from me ? Sure he may or may not of be my brother, he could be lying for all I know.
But they're Demons, what would they want with a useless human. A human who can't even look after themselves, why me I'm sure they can find a replacement, one that's better, one that stronger, one that's actually worth living. Unlike me.
"You see Y/N...our parents..they were demons too. But-"
Were?
"What do you mean were?"
"They- th-they were kill-ed" Ryan chocks on his words as he trys to hold back tears. I can tell this is a hard subject for him too talk about.
Dallon moves closer to Ryan and comfortably rubs his hand on his shoulder for comfort.
"Well first I need to explain the demon ranks."
"Ranks?" This is going to be a lot of information to take in at once.
"Yeah it is, but you just need to stay with us.
So there are 3 main ranks of demons... well the ones you will be familiar with anyway but there's 2 others that you hopefully won't see.
The green eyed
Blue eyed
Orange eyed.
And the ones that you won't be around..to the most part...
Red eyed
And you definitely won't be familiar with the purple eyed.
I'm orange. They all have different strengths and abilities, but they work in groups or packs for hunting. Using each other's strengths to use.
And as you've gathered, orange eyed demons can actually read humans minds, we can also control them to an extent." Dallon picks up the conversation.
"Is that what you did to me when we met?" Well that's rude.
Dallon chuckles slightly, raising his hand behind his head and scratching his neck, he seems to do that a lot when he's nervous.
"I-uh-uh yeah..sorry about that.."
I ignore his apology as another question comes to mind. One that's been bothering me.
"Why won't I be seeing red and especially not purpled eyed ones?"
I can see there breaths hitch as I ask them.
"Well you see...purple eyed demons went extinct many years ago, and red eyed demons as well...but there may or may not be one left."
"Where"
Again, they tense up.
"Umm we're not sure. MOVING ON..have any questions so far?"
I was not hesitant at all replying
" what is Ryan?"
Ryan's POV
Shit. We can't tell her I'm the only red left. It could be dangerous for her to know.
I cautiously turn my head sideways so I can meet dallons gaze. A hint of nervousness is seen in them.
"I'm- I'm blue. As you know I can't read minds..so yeah"
She nods slowly, seeming a bit sceptical.
" o-okay, we'll continue. I want to know why the hell you HAD to leave me for my whole life.
I'm a little taken back by her outburst. but continue on anyway.
"You know how Dallon said reds were extinct?"
Y-yeah?" She hesitantly answers.
"Well let's just say they weren't. And our parents were reds.
At the time they hid there disguise seeing as all the other ranks were terrified of the reds and purples. Seeing as how much power they had. The others didn't like it, so they hunted red and purple. When ever they found one, they would hunt them down. Just to clear things up, the way they went extinct was because there was a war between the normals and outcasts. And because the red and purples were so rare, they didn't stand much of a chance. Back on topic, what I'm trying to say is, our parents were both reds, they had their bloodline. When they decided they wanted kids, they had to go in hiding, for any chance the others would find out their identity.
After a while our mum gave birth to twins.
A girl and a boy.
You and me.
Y/N and Ryan.
But the problem was..I was born demon..you weren't.
Our parents had no choice but to give you up. You had no chance of surviving down here with human eaters. Especially because you were a baby. Our parents sensed something special in you, but weren't under the circumstances to keep you. They thought about turning you, but decided against it as it was highly unlikely to make it through at a young age.
That's when they left you.
They would always look over you, keep an eye on you in the real world, I would too, that was-
Until IT all happened." I take a shaky breath.
"One day they got discovered. One of there closest friends outed them. I'm still not sure why, but they're dead now. Anyway. They told me, before-before they die-d, too look after you and get you back. That's all I ever wanted. To have a conversation with you, to have my sister back. I was also so alone. I had no one left and you were everything." I take my gaze off the floor and into Y/N's eyes and see tears spilling down her rosy cheeks.
"Luckily I had Dallon and Brendon through out my life. And a couple others you don't know. They all helped me keep you safe, although it may not of felt like it, we were trying. We really were. Until we realise your dreams were starting to come to you. I believe it is Mum and dad trying to signal your strong enough to come home. I want you home. And at last you are. I love you soo so much Y/N, you have no idea. And please please never leave me again I just don't want to loose you again." By they time I'm done, I'm now balling my eyes out.
