Road Trip //

Chapter 7

"so man when do I see you again? " Jace asked while buckling up

"uuummm today? " I replied trying to make him laugh and it definitely worked _aah not for long though

"Blake I'm serious. When do you plan on coming back home? " he asked and this time looking even more serious

"yeah I know you are serious man but you have to loosen up a little bit,you are acting like my mom. You know, I'm not going to some kind of a military school or even worse going to die. I'm just going to live with my dad for a while and you of all people should understand because you know my story. "

"yeah I'm sorry man it's just that uuuummh I can't believe am about to say this but I'm going to miss you so much." he said looking out the window _is he crying? Jace is crying?  Woah..

"Jace I know you are going to miss me, heck who wouldn't? " I said and we both laughed

"but seriously man I'm grateful for everything you and your family has done for me. You were always there when I needed a place to stay, food to eat and even clothes to wear. I don't know how I could ever pay you back man, I'm really grateful and please thank mom for me when you get back home " I said feeling the sting in my eyes _get a grip of yourself Blake

"it's alright man, you are family and family sticks together and help each other in every situation. I think you have already thanked mom enough besides she's also your mom. " he said giving me a slight squeeze on my shoulder and I couldn't help the tears from falling. All the tears I was trying so hard to hold in just burst out of my eye lids like a dam that has been broken.

The rest of the drive to the airport was comfortably silent. Jace parked and we headed inside. I didn't have to wait so long before checking in because we deliberately started off from home late _i hate sitting down for so long just waiting for a God damn plane

"aaah I gotta go man I'm boarding soon. And I'm going to miss you too " cant believe I said that and it looks like Jace can't believe it too because the look he is giving me right now says it all _what? A man does miss his best bud too.

"I'm going to pretend like I'm not in shock at all and just hug you before you miss your flight " he said embracing me in an extremely tight hug

"okay okay that's it I'm chocking here " I said giving out a fake cough which worked because he let me go immediately

"alright man don't forget to call me once you touch down."

"I will call you man and you can take the car plus the bike. Just go home and mom will give you the keys I already told her you will be passing by later today to collect it "

"thanks man I can't believe you just gave away your baby_to me! " he said the last part holding his mouth with both hands to muffle his scream _which apparently didn't help much

"woah keep it down it's just a bike. Okay I know I also can't believe I just gave you my bike. I seriously have to go now, I'll call you when I get there " I said bumping into his shoulder and making a run for the stairs _this boy can make you miss your flight right at the airport

"hello,what would you like to have?  We have orange juice, apple juice,a variety of wine and some water of course " I heard a voice that seemed to have been directed at me. I looked up only to see a beautiful hostess staring down at me waiting for my answer.

"uummm just a bottle of water will do please " I replied and she smiled heartily passing me the bottle

"anything else? " she asked

"no thanks this will be all..... For now " I said winking at her and she smiled again before attending to the lady beside me

Man these flight attendants are really hot!  Speaking of hot I wonder what Alexis is doing right now. I wish I stayed longer to at least just know her a bit more. I only know her name _which I hope is correct because I don't trust Jace sometimes.

I don't know how but she manages to cross my mind every single day from the time I first set my eyes on her _men I can't believe I almost burst out on her on her first day. Did I scare her? Did she think I'm some kind of a bully? Does she ever think about me too?  Does she feel the same way I feel about her? _wait what? Does it mean I like her?  Is it possible to like someone you have never really talked to for more than a minute?  Okay maybe I did that day we bumped into each other.... Does that even count?  Oh my, Blake you are really whipped .

I need a distraction, I need to do something to distract myself from thinking about her. I still have 2 hours to touch down and if I don't stop thinking about her I'm afraid I will go insane on this plane and we wouldn't want that now would we?  Of course not.

"aah excuse me miss, do you have any alcoholic beverages on this plane? "  okay that was a dumb question and definitely a bad choice. I don't want to meet my dad after a long time drunk, that would ruin the good boy image he has of me.

"yes we do, what would you like to take? " the lady was patiently waiting for my answer

"pardon me, just give me some apple juice instead " I replied feeling embarrassed

"here you go sir, apple juice for you " she smiled and walked away_phew! that was something

30 more minutes and I'll be off this thing. I hate traveling, I really do but I just had to this time around. Will Alexis be sad once she finds out that I left? _ here we go again, get a grip of yourself Blake the girl is not thinking about you. She might not even know your name for all you know.

"attention everyone on board, we are starting to go down in five minutes so please fasten your seat belts and switch all your devices off. Thank you "

So Blake likes Alexis? Woah! Now why is he leaving?  Why didn't he stay a little more to at least get to know her?  Stay with me and you will find out
