XXVI

I wake up slowly, ready to start the day. All is going well until I see an arm over me. I turn my head just to see a sleeping Hyunjin two inches away from my face. Surprised, I scream and back away only for me to fall off the bed. I groan in pain, rubbing my back as I get up. Hyunjin is now wide awake.

"What happened?"
"Oh uhm I- nothing just a little surprised." I let out an awkward laugh. He frowns in confusion before stretching and getting out of bed.

"Ah! What the fuck?" I screams again and turn my head. Hyunjin's eyes widen as he desperately looks for his shirt.
"Fuck I forgot that I took it off...."
"Why did you take it off?" I say as I look back at him. Only to look down at his chest. I quickly turn back.
"Because it got way too hot in here."

There's a big, awkward silence as he puts his shirt back on.
"Uhm i can show you where the bathroom is. There are toothbrushes that you can use. I can make breakfast. Or at least try."
He nods silently as he grabs his clothes and follows me to the guest bathroom. Once we reach it I let him go in before quickly going back to the room and getting an outfit. I then rush to the bathroom and get ready. I look at myself in the mirror and cringe when I take a look at my hair.
"Why the fuck is there a bird's nest?" I try to fix my hair, struggling. My hair is always half frizzy half straight in the morning and let me tell you it's not cute.

I leave the bathroom when I'm ready and go to the kitchen. Not really knowing what to do, I start making matcha pancakes.

"Why does it look like vomit?"
I turn to see Hyunjin come into the room. I glare at him and then turn back to face my pancakes.
"Do you want to starve?"
"I'm kidding~ it looks good." He does his adorable smile and I feel my hurt flutter.

Hyunjin starts setting up the table and once the food is ready we both sit facing each other.
"Thanks for the food." I nod. And we start eating.

Once Hyunjin leaves I make my way back to my room. I take a look at the window and see that the weather is amazing. Everything is covered in snow and it's a bit sunny but mainly cloudy. I decide to go grab my homework and go out to a nice place instead of saying home.
I send a message to Jihee asking her to come with me.

I get ready and leave making sure I have everything.

I arrive at a quiet cafe and start doing my homework. After a while I hear my voice being called and I smile knowing who it is.
"Hi Jihee!" We hug before she takes a seat in front of me.
"So lets do this but you also have to tell me everything that happened with Hyunjin." She puts her hands together.
"How do you know?" I look at her wide eyed.
"You told me." She deadpans as she looks at me blankly.
"Oh." I say sheepishly.

We do a lot of homework and talk once in a while. Once we call it a day it's already dark. I smile because this is such an amazing time.
"I don't understand how you can like the dark this much. And this cloudy weather." Jihee says as she sips her drink.
"I don't know it's just something about it that makes me feel cozy and good, you know?"
"Not really but sure if that's what you like then fine." She smiles at me.

We say bye to each other and go our separate ways. I go home but stop when I see an arts and crafts store. I've never seen it before so I decide to take a look. I enter the shop and greet whoever is inside. I take a look around and grab a few things that I really like. I see a nice notebook and take it as well as different markers.

Once I'm satisfied, I make my way to the counter. I put down my stuff before looking up.
"Lee Jeno?"
"Oh, Byun Soomi right?" I nod slowly.
"You work here?"
"Yeah... I know it's a bit weird and embarrassing." He says shyly.
"What? No it's not. It's a very nice place and I really like everything that's here. I don't think it's embarrassing at all. I would want to work here too." I answer him. He smiles at my words and I pause. His smile is the best thing in this world. No wonder Jaemin likes him.

I thank him as I pay and gather my things.
"Bye Jeno." I wave at him.
"Bye Soomi, come back soon!" I nod at him and smile before leaving the shop.

I don't know if any of you remember when I said that I had an exam like a while ago. That was just the beginning. After break I'm having a three week long exam and I want to cry.
On Monday I have a 4 hour long exam and it's going to be horrible because I won't have time to go home before because I'll be in the airport. I have another one on Tuesday and on Friday I have an oral exam. The second week is filled with mock exams and the third week is the project exam.

But don't worry that's not the end. I have more in May/June/July.
I have a very big project to do in art and I didn't start yet oops
