''Can we take a break?''I asked.The sun was setting low and it was getting a bit cold.I was really tired and we were only half way.

''I have a better idea''

With that He grabbed my legs and threw me on his back.

''What about a piggy back ride?''he asked,smiling like an idiot,my idiot.

''Perfect''I must say I have no idea how to answer him in a girlfriend way.He always calls me my love and stuff like that and I just melt down and throw out something completly idiotic.I hope he understands.I'm not used to so much attention and I get lost in all of it.

''Can you close your eyes?''he asked after a few minutes of walking.

''Okay...but why?''

''Just please close them for a second''he pleaded.I wondered what he was up to now.

I could smell the evergreen trees which ment we were still in the forest...But I thought we'd be out by now?

''Ok,open them''he finally said, witha hint of excitment in his voice.

I opened my eyes and this is what I see:The beautiful scenery of our small Love forest covered up with small lanterns that form a heart.My heart fluttered.Inside,there was a picnic blanket and...strawberries.There was also a guitar and a bouquet of flower with a note that said beautiful things.

''Joey this is amazing.Did you do all this yourself?''

''This is my own little secret.Come on,sit down''

I didn't need another invitation.At once I sat myself down beside him.I could hear an owl somewhere in the distance,it was so peaceful.What a romantic way to end a first date!

''I love you Isabel.I'm sorry if this is not enough.This is the only way I can think of to show you how much I care''

''Are you joking me?It's all I could dream of.I rememebr when I was a little girl,always wishing for this.When I got bullied I always imagined someone like you saving me.And you have...''I admitted.I never eve told this to anyone,not counting my diary.

''I'm so happy to hear this''Joey whispered in my ear.

''The rumours that people find their true love in this forest might actually be true.I certainly have.''I smiled.

''Me too.As you could guess''

''Sooo...are you gonna play something on the guitar?''I asked,curiosity taking over me.

''Yes.But it's expecially for you.So dont tell anyone''he smiled.

As soon s he started to play I turned back in time to when I was 12 and I was being badly bullied.I used to always sith on my window sill with tears in my eyes.But then,I'd close them and dream about this.A perfect moment with my saviour.Every birthday wish was about a moment like this.I was all I ever wished for.Now it's coming through.I'm so glad I never loose hope.

By the time Joey was finished I was back down on earth.

''That was beautiful''I said.

''It was for you''he replied.It wasn't long before he pulled me closer and smashed his lips against mine.

''I better go now.It's nearly 10 p.m''I said while pulling myself away from him.

''Aw but can't you stay a little longer?''He moaned.

''Joey my Nana is probably worried sick already''

''Ok,but I'll meet you tomorrow right?''

''Of course''

Finally he let me go.For the whole time he held me in his arms,every so often soflt pecking my lips.Was that right?I mean we didn't do anything else!I feel so safe in his arms that I didn't try to get free.And when he kisses me,I don't resist either.After years of lonliness It's a need.

He gave me a wink just before I dissapeared in between the trees.

The forest was right beside my house so within a minute I was standing in the porch.I opened the front door and slipped in.

 All the lights were turned off so I guess Alan was already asleep.The only beam of light that I could see was coming from the sitting room.Probaly Nana watching her serials.When I walked in she gave me a warm smile.

''Did you have fun?''she asked without any trace of angriness.

''Yes,sorry that I came home really late.It's just that Joey and I really get on well''

''Iz,dear,your mother would kill me for letting you go out for so long but I know Joey is a great boy.I often see him help out with the elders and well,I can't smell any alcohol from you.So it's fine''

''Nana,how do you understand everything so perfectly?''

''I was young too.Myself and Grandad met each other when we were around your age.And plus,I've never met a more responsibal girl than you.''

''So does that mean that if I'd tell you we started dating you wouldn't be angry?''I asked,feeling hopeful.

''No!I'm delighted to hear that sweetheart!You've picked well.Now off with ya.It's been a long day and you need to sleep''

I said nothing.I just hugged her very tight.She deserved to know.In fact,theres no point of hiding it.If someone asks I won't deny. I walked out of the living room and headed towards the kitchen.I got hungry after all this!

Tory as usual was sitting at the table just chilling around,doing her nails.

''Where were you all day?she asked,obviously bored.''I was bored to death without you!''See ...I told you.

''Didn't you go to work?''I asked.

''Nope.I had a day off''She said almost...proudly...

''Well I was just hanging around with Joey''

''Ohhh Joey!I could have guessed.You guys seem to hang around together a lot.Wait...Did Miss Iz fall in Love with someone?''

''Jesus,I can't hide anything from you''

''So it's true!''

''Yeah''

''Awwwww that so cute sis.Just you know,be careful.If you know what I mean...''

''Don't worry.I'm not stuipid''

And so the conversation went on.We sat at the kitchen table until midnight.Laughing and painting our nails.Of course Tory demanded every detail about mine and Joey's relationship.Nana didn't stay up for long so we could talk about our own stuff that nobody had to know about.I love talking to Tory so much.She's seven years older than me yet she understands me so flippen much.Our late-night talks is what I miss the most back in Ireland.We tend to do some random shit together but that's what I like.She's like a mix between best-friend and sister.

When I couldn't keep my eyelids open anymore I strolled off to bed.Now do you see why I love this place?It's home to me.
